Sick, arrogant, disgusting, insulting, and wrong, wrong, wrong. I don't question Tom Toles' judgement -- he's a deluded leftist who can't stop himself. The editors didn't have to publish this cartoon.
The link here doesn't require the (com)Post registration (which demands your home address and your first born), as it goes straight to the gif image. For the sake of decorum and our agreement with the scum at the Post, please don't re-post it here. They'd rather ad clicks than a free, fair, public discussion of the "news" they print.
Washington Post: a retraction and apologies are due the families of those killed on September 11, especially those of the heros of Flight 93, which may well have been headed for the Capitol. You sick, sick fools, your politics would betray your country. I don't care how upset you are at the President's tax cuts, which you blame for all evils -- to equate it with an attack upon the Capitol of the nation is lunacy and indecent.
Visit here for the Flight 93 Memorial website.

Very bad taste. Yea, let's make fun of a plane hitting a building. I'm sure all the passengers on those 9/11 planes had a good time.

What's sick is that liberals have already forgotten about the 1,000 of people murdered on September 11.

Toles is the most extreme whacked out lefty puke in political cartooning. My hometown paper uses him often, much to my chagrin.

This is no shock to me, I expect this level of commentary from the liberal media. Problem is, most of Joe 6-pack American couch potato(e?)s sit and eat this stuff up. We have unearthed the reason for an obese America! We're all becoming Michael Moore! YUK!
You can bet if AlGore had become president, which is what the popular vote across this once free nation wanted, we would have none of these deficit problems. We would, however be mopping up one mess after another from terrorist attacks, as we were when our beloved BillClinton was calling the shots.

What do you expect from the EVIL Dums. They have always used the suffering of others as a political football. Nothing matters to them but power.

That is precisely what is so base about this cartoon: foresaking real lives and insulting the dead for political points. Toles and the (com)Post have been after Bush for the tax cuts. That's fine, and they are entitled to their say, whatever. This exceeds debate.
It's yelling "fire" in the crowded theatre.
I won't let it go unnoticed.

Thank You. I'm sick of the media getting by with this filth. I'm hoping that this country is sick and tired of the crude, opportunistic, pornographic culture of this media. The reaction to JJ gave me hope.

Oh, that's sickening. Thanks for pointing it out. More of the same from the Kerry household. It's what he was doing in his protests against the Vietnam War.

The reaction to JJ gave me hope.
And it should. Think of politics or culture represented on a graph, where all points of view are dots across a central axis. The median point is defined by the central weight of all those dots. Most dots will land around the middle, but many are way out. Those extremes actually weigh more against the average than those that are among the average, for they pull against it harder. Sometimes, though, it works against itself.
By that graph, JJ reset hundreds of thousands of those points, and the cultural mean has been moved that much to the right.
