[history]
"For the last several days I have seen Internet and tabloid rumors relating to me and Senator John Kerry. Because these stories were false, I assumed the media would ignore them. It seems that efforts to peddle these lies continue, so I feel compelled to address them. I have never had a relationship with Senator Kerry, and the rumors in the press are completely false. Whoever is spreading these rumors and allegations does not know me, but should know the pain they have caused me and my family. I am in Kenya with my fiance visiting his family, and we ask that the press respect our privacy and leave all of us alone."

Gore didn't keep Kerry off his ticket for non-events.
Alex Polier is not the only one, and I'm convinced she is one.
Her friends that have been talking will not stop talking, I suspect, as she has labeled them liars.

Notice the "of the United States" at the end of his statement. Somebody wrote this for him.

We did focus on the Clinton bimbos.........and got labeled for it.
Kerry has amassed quite a voting record on the national security issues......we need to focus on that.

Okay, Alexandra...you're a saint. And, your father is a liar. So only saints don't have affairs with John Kerry?
Then I'm a saint too!

Relationship in her context infers some sort of an ongoing affair. She did NOT say she never had sex with him.You nailed it.
Without her confession the story dies, as would have the Lewinsky story absent the dress.

It came from the Clark camp...who then turned and endorsed Kerry and now seems to be trying to position Clark as the VP. This could have very well been a setup by Lehane and company.
Unfortunately, we had no choice but to pursue the story because the press has failed to do just that.

The thing that is really bizarre is the "gilding the lily" about how the family not only denies the rumor , but is GOING TO VOTE FOR KERRY. I'm only a little surprised they didn't have a web site to donate to the campaign.

This story looks like a setup, a screen pass if you will to work against an aggressive opponent.

Her friends that have been talking will not stop talking, I suspect, as she has labeled them liars. Then her friends need to come forward to the conservative media in the U.S. (FoxNews, Rush, other radio talk shows, etc.). Until then most Americans will believe what they want to believe- Republicans will believe something happened, Democrats will not and the news will have a null effect on the election.

"This doesn't prove something didn't happen.
Using "Dubya AWOL" logic, Senator Kerry has to provide positive proof that there is no story here.
Tough to do, eh, John?"
As hard as proving unicorns don't exist....

Maybe she was 24 when she started 'seeing' Kerry.

You're right.
I still believe that the woman in Kerry's life who will bring him down is Jane Fonda and they're on the record hatred of the military and the USA.
As I see it, there are two scenarios to why the DNC (read McAwful) wants to drive this story and have it explode right before the March 2nd Super Tuesday elections.
The first is to have the anointing of Hillary at a brokered convention.
The second it to divert attention from Kerry's 70's Congressional testimony, his political record and his ties to the demonized "special interests" to keep the Deaniacs quiet.

Refresh my memory -- I don't recall Drudge ever naming a particular person. I think I recall the name being raised by other sources. I could be wrong, but if not, and considering the report that other media have been working on the story, that would mean that there is still something to this -- it just doesn't involve Ms. Polier.
Anybody?
