Let's move on
I took the poll and then realized why the vote is 78% Bush. Between Bush and Gore, I liked Bush too. He was a likable patriotic guy who made mistakes in his oration. To me, Gore was Clinton again. We were there, and we moved on. Now, I think it is time for Bush to move on. All of the issues about him are just becoming too transparent. I am sure that people like Rumsfeld and Cheney knew him as George's kid. And let's face it, the Texas Air National guard is where rich kids fought in Vietnam. The National Guard is not fighting... Some of us are like that, but not most of us.
Is saying that you are a Democrat or Republican
really make you one?
I am neither Democrat nor Republican, in fact, I don't think any of us are...unless we are in an elected position. I think that they should install a revolving door in the White House as a people's reminder of who really is in charge and make it a law that presidents children cannot run for president. Isn't this the same as George II? Who's next, Jeb the Lionheart? While we're at it, we should install a revolving door in congress too. I have little desire for senators who have made it their career. We actually have senators that were once in boys clubs like the KKK! Political office should not be a career. It should be an obligation, with integrity. ...and no more of the benefits that are way better than the average citizen. They think that Social Security is beneath them!
I think the right solution to dethrone George II would be Kerry and Hilary Clinton. In 2004, it would lock in the popular and electoral vote. In 2008, we would have made up our minds about Hilary's usefulness.
Ferdinand and Isabella...the first inquisition would be to fry people like Ken Lay, the Enron cronies, Global Crossing, etc. And even George II's Harken issues. Is the SEC selective?
Viva estados unidos!

And let's face it, the Texas Air National guard is where rich kids fought in Vietnam. The National Guard is not fighting... Some of us are like that, but not most of us.
As for the Texas guard, it has been reported by people who were Bush's superiors that Bush asked to be sent to Vietnam, but had too few flight hours to qualify.
As for "the National guard is not fighting"...look at Iraq now -- and -- the fact that 10% of those that died in Vietnam were National Guard or Reserves.
ALSO -- as an aside -- People are not looking at the time line regarding all of this flack about Bush's service. Kerry is older than Bush. Some troop withdrawals actually started in 1969.
By the time Bush was assigned to Alabama -- the war was all but over. Bush was assigned to Alabama in October of 1972.
In that same month, October 1972, a tentative cease-fire agreement was reached. The accord called for the simultaneous withdrawal of U.S. troops and to be followed by a political settlement of South Vietnam's future.
The peace agreement was finalized and formally signed 4 months later on January 27, 1973...9 months before Bush was discharged.

DAMN!!!!!! Late again!!!
SILLY, Viking Kitty! As you can see from the pics she is a well qualified Viking Kitty. She eats jerky and "tries" to drink my beer, she's ornery, headstrong, and generally a pain in the butt!!! (Particularly when she's in heat and I won't let her outside!!!!) LOL
|
In this photo we see Silly at the door when I say "Disruptor"
|
Silly immediately takes up her position on the desk and contemplates the "ZOT" button
|
Here, Silly decides that the "ZOT" is in order, and she reaches for the "ZOT" button
|
Here, Silly advises me of a successful "ZOT" operation.

Operation Dominic's atmoshperic test were different than hardtack in 1958 or Castle Romeo in 1954. I think by 1962 the US govt was aware of the fallout caused by ground tests. Many shots in 1962 were dropped from B-52s at 45,000 feet flying from Hawaii and detonated at 15,000-20,000 feet so as to minimize radioactive fallout.
Have you ever seen a pic of shot Romeo in 1954?
