A frantic behind-the-scenes drama is unfolding around Sen. John Kerry and his quest to lockup the Democratic nomination for president, the DRUDGE REPORT can reveal.
Intrigue surrounds a woman who recently fled the country, reportedly at the prodding of Kerry, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.
A serious investigation of the woman and the nature of her relationship with Sen. John Kerry has been underway at TIME magazine, ABC NEWS, the WASHINGTON POST and the ASSOCIATED PRESS, where the woman in question once worked.
MORE
A close friend of the woman first approached a reporter late last year claiming fantastic stories -- stories that now threaten to turn the race for the presidency on its head!
In an off-the-record conversation with a dozen reporters earlier this week, General Wesley Clark plainly stated: "Kerry will implode over an intern issue." [Three reporters in attendance confirm Clark made the startling comments.]
The Kerry commotion is why Howard Dean has turned increasingly aggressive against Kerry in recent days, and is the key reason why Dean reversed his decision not to drop out of the race after Wisconsin, top campaign sources tell the DRUDGE REPORT.

Dean has no chance of beating Bush, while Kerry has a chance.
Sorry, I don't think Kerry has a chance of beating Bush.

Does anyone else here think that this is a direct result of Clinton's endorsement of Edwards? Clinton knows were all the graves are.

This is what I dont understand. John Heinz was a top Republican senator. I heard Al Damato on the radio last week. He was very friendly with Teresa and John Heinz.
He was saying when he knew Teresa, she was a staunch Republican.
So how did this woman marry a Democrat and become a Democrat. I'm not buying the story she was lonely after John Heinz was killed in the place crash in 91. Any woman thats worth a billion dollars. Trust me, guys will be falling all over her. (Young and old)

I don't know if there was a pre-nup, but he might have some problems getting cooperation from her. Her money could still come in handy.

If these charges are found to be true, Kerry is done.
I smell the Clintons
This sets the table for the DNC to go the Democrat Party Convention without a "popular" candidate. Think that this would not be an opportune time to start a movement to draft Hillary Clinton as the "savior" of the Democrat Party?
She would not have had to campaign in the primaries and have the other Democrat hopefuls drag her through the mud in front of the nation and it saved her from having to spend her war chest on campaigning.
To: Blue87
What Teresa did would be like Ted Olson marrying a top Democrat. I cant see that ever happening.

Further, starting to break:
12:35 p.m. Eastern Time, 12 February:
"Will Press Pounce on Drudge's Kerry Rumor? By E&P Staff Published: February 12, 2004 NEW YORK Matt Drudge's Web site, which first broke allegations about President Bill Clinton's dalliance with a White House intern in 1998, is at it again. Late this morning, DrudgeReport.com alleged that a new scandal was about to rock the campaign of Democratic frontrunner John Kerry: some sort of purported recent marital "infidelity" that involved a woman who once worked for the Associated Press, and has now supposedly "fled the country." According to the site, this story was being investigated by the AP, The Washington Post, Time magazine and ABC network. Reached by E&P for comment, AP spokesman Jack Stokes said, "We simply don't comment on stories we are pursuing or not pursuing." It also declared that General Wesley Clark, in an off-the-record chat with reporters earlier this week, predicted that the Kerry campaign would soon implode due to an "intern." It would seem strange, however, if he really believed that, that he would drop out of the race, as he did yesterday. The site added, however, that the Kerry rumor helped explain why Howard Dean did stay in the race and has been increasingly aggressive in his attacks on Kerry this week. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- E&P Staff"

OK, deep breath here...
has this been confirmed, or has the Drudge site been hijacked?
The reason I ask is that all the normal popups that I get on Drudge are coming up, but are blank. The ad link at the top is showing a "page cannot be displayed" error....
Has this been probed outside of Drudge on any other reputable sites?

There is a Pre-nup between them. I read an article about this. I'm sure if people say to him, you married her for her money, he'll bring up the pre-nup.

Urgent Wire Flash To All Media Outlets: 1. Go back to the "Dean Is Really A Conservative" stories; Drop all Dean screaming stories, anyone can make a mistake. 2. Start figuring out where Edwards gets the experience to be President (Hurry!) 3. Ask the Hildabeast for permission on 1 and 2, and don't F with her if she looks pissed.

The Clintons care only about themselves. Unless Kerry invites HRC to be his VP, the Clintons want Kerry to lose so Hillary can run in 2008. If Kerry wins in 2004, HRC can't run for the Presidency until 2012, at which point she'll be 65 years old. The CLintons backed Wesley Clark in the first place because they knew this weirdo would fail. There's every reason to believe that Clark made these remarks about Kerry and the intern with full (backstage) approval from the CLintons. Yes, this country's sexual morals are in the toilet. However, the response to Janet Jackson at the SUper Bowl is indicative of a growing backlash against sleaze. This backlash, coupled with possible sabotage from Kerry's wife if this story breaks, will lead to Kerry's meltdown. And Kerry's meltdown would position HRC to run in 2008.

Two shrewd prognosticators:
1. President Bush to Russert - "He's not their nominee yet."
2. Freepers - For calling him John F'ing Kerry.

Paging Pres.. uh Senator Clinton. Those FBI files are coming in real handy. First the NYT writes an editorial about Kerry special interest money, then the Hanoi Jane picture starts floating around and now this. When will the other Dems learn that nobody gets in the way of the Clinton's plan?
I would suggest Kerry stay off of small, private planes.
