KERRY FIGHTS OFF MEDIA PROBE OF RECENT ALLEGED INFIDELITY, RIVALS PREDICT RUIN
Drudge Report ^ | 2/12/2004 | MATT DRUDGE

Posted on 02/12/2004 9:02:31 AM PST by kellynla

A frantic behind-the-scenes drama is unfolding around Sen. John Kerry and his quest to lockup the Democratic nomination for president, the DRUDGE REPORT can reveal.

Intrigue surrounds a woman who recently fled the country, reportedly at the prodding of Kerry, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.

A serious investigation of the woman and the nature of her relationship with Sen. John Kerry has been underway at TIME magazine, ABC NEWS, the WASHINGTON POST and the ASSOCIATED PRESS, where the woman in question once worked.

MORE

A close friend of the woman first approached a reporter late last year claiming fantastic stories -- stories that now threaten to turn the race for the presidency on its head!

In an off-the-record conversation with a dozen reporters earlier this week, General Wesley Clark plainly stated: "Kerry will implode over an intern issue." [Three reporters in attendance confirm Clark made the startling comments.]

The Kerry commotion is why Howard Dean has turned increasingly aggressive against Kerry in recent days, and is the key reason why Dean reversed his decision not to drop out of the race after Wisconsin, top campaign sources tell the DRUDGE REPORT.

"Doesn't anyone find it troubling that Clark, a Clinton plant, basically knew about this - which means that more than likely, the Clintons are involved in a story about sex scandal ?!?!?!"

Not at all....if Kerry were to win this election, then it would be much more difficult for Hillary to beat out Kerry in 2008. Much better for Bush to stay in office another four years, and come 2008..... it's easy sailing for Hillary.

"What makes one think that if the entire Drudge report on Kerry is 100 percent true that it would make the slightest difference to voters?"

In 1992, Hillary went on 60 Minutes with Bill and they pretty much said he had cheated on her once (James Carville said it was a one-night stand with a floozy he met at a bar), but she had forgiven him and all was okay now. Had a recent Monica-type incident been known back then, Clinton would not have been elected (even with Perot getting 19% of the vote). At the very least, this incident will make Democrats, whose support for Kerry is a half-mile wide (he never seems to get much over 50% in any primary, so I wouldn't even say it's a mile wide) and an inch deep (exit polls show Democrats vote for him because they view him as "electable," not because they agree with him), to look at Dean and Edwards again, and expend all their resources before the Democrat convention.

but then I am reminded people still voted and loved their beloved Clinton even though they knew he had sex with anything that could walk and smile.....

That's true, but remember, the hardcore Yellow Dog Dems will vote for anything with a (D) next to its name on a ballot, but they're only a certain percentage of the electorate, just like hardcore Republicans that will always go for the (R). However, modern U.S. elections are about the middle ground, the undecideds. For Clinton it was the soccer moms who didn't have to worry about national security because in the 90s it was "The End of History."

However, in '04 its the NASCAR dads (and their misses) who are worried about terrorism, tax increases, and being able to save for retirement and may want some personal control over the Social Security tax taken out of their paychecks, plus they're sick and tired of traditional values being trampled, . All of these issues favor the president over Kerry or the Ambulance-Chasing Empty Suit from North Carolina. A scandal like this may very well keep a statistically-significant portion of voters from pulling the (D) handle, as they don't want another four years of having to explain embarrassing subjects in the news to their children. Clinton fatigue lingers...today could be a very important day regarding the outcome of this election and the way America is involved with the world for the next four years or more! Happy Freeping!

Al Sharpton and Lyndon LaRouche may be the last men standing!

I'd say Kucinich. That poor dude couldn't get laid in a Tijuana whore house with a fist full of C-notes. No chance of a sex scandal there.

Popups? Are those things still around? Haven't seen one for ages. Mozilla blocks just about everything, and has a lot more features than some other browsers.

It's Hillary on the third ballot.

We should all pray for that every night.

Edwards - Clinton 04. I could be wrong.. We need to dig up some dirt on Brek Girl.

Clinton called Edwards and told him to stay in the race.

PS. Edwards got rich through "victimization" propaganda. He's a trial lawyer.
Tort reform has to become front and center, so frivolous laws suits and rising health care costs are connected to the trial lawyers.

For the first time I'm suspecting a draft Hillary convention. Who else have they got unless they want to sacrifice Edwards and wait four years.
