We’re going to need a thread II as this one is starting to slow the site down. Also, on the new thread, please stop posting the name and pictures of the person you think the woman may be. The evidence doesn’t support the claim and we don’t need to be doing that. Wait for it to come out. It will. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1076893/posts

CAMPAIGN DRAMA ROCKS DEMOCRATS -Drudge Alert (Thread II)
CAMPAIGN DRAMA ROCKS DEMOCRATS

CAMPAIGN DRAMA ROCKS DEMOCRATS: KERRY FIGHTS OFF MEDIA PROBE OF RECENT ALLEGED INFIDELITY, RIVALS PREDICT RUIN
Update 2:
CAMPAIGN DRAMA ROCKS DEMOCRATS: KERRY FIGHTS OFF MEDIA PROBE OF RECENT ALLEGED INFIDELITY, RIVALS PREDICT RUIN
**World Exclusive**
**Must Credit the DRUDGE REPORT**
A frantic behind-the-scenes drama is unfolding around Sen. John Kerry and his quest to lockup the Democratic nomination for president, the DRUDGE REPORT can reveal.
Intrigue surrounds a woman who recently fled the country, reportedly at the prodding of Kerry, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.
A serious investigation of the woman and the nature of her relationship with Sen. John Kerry has been underway at TIME magazine, ABC NEWS, the WASHINGTON POST and the ASSOCIATED PRESS, where the woman in question once worked.
MORE
A close friend of the woman first approached a reporter late last year claiming fantastic stories -- stories that now threaten to turn the race for the presidency on its head!
In an off-the-record conversation with a dozen reporters earlier this week, General Wesley Clark plainly stated: "Kerry will implode over an intern issue." [Three reporters in attendance confirm Clark made the startling comments.]
The Kerry commotion is why Howard Dean has turned increasingly aggressive against Kerry in recent days, and is the key reason why Dean reversed his decision not to drop out of the race after Wisconsin, top campaign sources tell the DRUDGE REPORT.
Update 3 FROM CONRESSIONAL QUARTERLY'S CRAIG CRAWFORD: 'Drudge item on Kerry intern issue is something Chris Lehane (clark press secy) has shopped around for a long time -- it was one reason the Gore vetters in 2000 shied away from Kerry as a running mate choice -- their conclusion that it wasn't bad enough to disqualify him, except for the fact that they couldn't risk it as they were trying so hard to distance themselves from Clinton's personal failings (note: Lehane worked for Gore at the time -- and briefly advised Kerry during this campaign). The Kerry camp has long expected to deal with this, and have assured party leaders they can handle it'...

I thought infidelity was a litmus-test item for Dem leaders, like supporting abortion.
To: BJungNan
Finally. Infidelity didn't hurt Clinton--this may *boost* Kerry. Unless of course it's a 23-year old *male* intern.

If that is true, then Senator Kerry better run for cover fast. Even the vast majority of Democrats don't view infidelity very well, as noted by how Jesse Jackson's influence took a
MAJOR beat-down after he revealed he had a child out of wedlock and spending a major amount of Rainbow/PUSH organization money in what amounted to palimony payments. And note how former President Bill Clinton's reputation was hurt and Hillary Clinton's reputation actually got better because of the Monica Lewinsky scandal.
That type of thing isn't going to sit well with voters when you compare President Bush's superb relationship with his wife Laura.

Just caught the last few second of Boortz between car and home. Boortz was saying something about an intern and Kerry? Anyone have info or listening to Boortz?

In an interview in Elle magazine last June, Heinz Kerry recalled how she jokingly warned her former husband never to cheat on her" " I'll maim you." "Not kill you, just mam you." She regrets the comment: "I learned not to tell jokes after that."
Let the maiming begin.

Next Question: Is this for real, is it going to have impact, or is this Drudge turning Captain Queeg and going back to the Strawberries? Maybe he'd been sleeping with her, too.... Probably not.
My gut feeling is this is going to blow over with little impact and be forgotten by most within two weeks.
