We’re going to need a thread II as this one is starting to slow the site down. Also, on the new thread, please stop posting the name and pictures of the person you think the woman may be. The evidence doesn’t support the claim and we don’t need to be doing that. Wait for it to come out. It will. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1076893/posts

Update 2:

CAMPAIGN DRAMA ROCKS DEMOCRATS: KERRY FIGHTS OFF MEDIA PROBE OF RECENT ALLEGED INFIDELITY, RIVALS PREDICT RUIN

**World Exclusive**
**Must Credit the DRUDGE REPORT**

A frantic behind-the-scenes drama is unfolding around Sen. John Kerry and his quest to lockup the Democratic nomination for president, the DRUDGE REPORT can reveal.

Intrigue surrounds a woman who recently fled the country, reportedly at the prodding of Kerry, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.

A serious investigation of the woman and the nature of her relationship with Sen. John Kerry has been underway at TIME magazine, ABC NEWS, the WASHINGTON POST and the ASSOCIATED PRESS, where the woman in question once worked.

MORE

A close friend of the woman first approached a reporter late last year claiming fantastic stories -- stories that now threaten to turn the race for the presidency on its head!

In an off-the-record conversation with a dozen reporters earlier this week, General Wesley Clark plainly stated: "Kerry will implode over an intern issue." [Three reporters in attendance confirm Clark made the startling comments.]

The Kerry commotion is why Howard Dean has turned increasingly aggressive against Kerry in recent days, and is the key reason why Dean reversed his decision not to drop out of the race after Wisconsin, top campaign sources tell the DRUDGE REPORT.

Update 3

FROM CONRESSIONAL QUARTERLY'S CRAIG CRAWFORD: 'Drudge item on Kerry intern issue is something Chris Lehane (clark press secy) has shopped around for a long time -- it was one reason the Gore vetters in 2000 shied away from Kerry as a running mate choice -- their conclusion that it wasn't bad enough to disqualify him, except for the fact that they couldn't risk it as they were trying so hard to distance themselves from Clinton's personal failings (note: Lehane worked for Gore at the time -- and briefly advised Kerry during this campaign). The Kerry camp has long expected to deal with this, and have assured party leaders they can handle it'...

Jillian on GOOD DAY LIVE said.. no way a politician is involved in having an affair. She like many with no morals will think Kerry is more of a man.

"political strategist"

I don't agree! He's a manipulator; liar; cheat. You don't need to have political strategy if you have these qualities.

GWBush will streamroll over Edwards. The guy has zero charisma. He drones on with hypothetical stories about factory workers going home and waking their children up to say, "I lost my job today". I think even factory workers will groan at this pandering.

You make some good points. Let me also add that beside the fact that people do not like attorneys, there is also his trial record. There are rumors that he has worked on some rather unpopular cases that will hurt him.

I'd bet it's one of those two (Dean or Edwards) they would have the most to gain, now that Weaselly Clark is out.

On second thought, I disagree; Clinton is behind this.
–Kerry is moving ahead at light speed now, and seemingly possibly able to beat Bush (in their minds). The Clintons can not allow that to happen. If Kerry wins, then HRC can’t run until ’12. So the sock puppet (Clark) is employed again to stop the front runner. It seems that Clark is the source of this news. Yeah, right, Clark is just doing the dirty work for Clinton. What we have to remember is Clinton is behind EVERYHTING.

WHOAAAAAA.......check this out, everyone!!!! Something is UP at the Washington Post!!!

For those who don't want to bother goign to the link, the Post has cancelled a live chat with a chief political reporter. I'd say DemRLosers is on to something - the Post cancelled the event because they're on this story, and don't want to be flooded with questions about it till they're ready to publish.

WooHooo! The wings are almost about done, and the shrimp are drenched in Old Bay. The first "soda" has been opened and there are a couple of more on ice.

Now, let's get these races going!

With Bill Clinton now back calling the shots in the Democratic Party and resurrecting his boy John Edwards, I've just got to laugh. I'm in a boogity, boogity, boogity mood.

BTW, WPTF just before Rush came on, the CBS report had a quick little story that Bill Clinton told Edwards to hang in there because there was always the chance of things coming up late in the race. Hmmm...

"Slick has been urging Hillary to run in 2004 while GWB appears vulnerable and he's now given her the venue."

It'd require a brokered convention, which is not outta the question. However, I can think of no single event that would do more to unite the disparate groups of the GOP than a Hillary!! candidacy.

Thanks, the graphic arts on this are not that great, so it is barely readable even at the height listed at its site.

I have used the first part of your tagline for about a a year now, thanks to your suggestion. It saves a lot of typing. Example: ABCNNBCBS AVOIDED THIS STORY ON THEIR NON NEWS AT THE TOP OF THE HOUR!

Rush is saying a Democrat leaked this to screw Kerry.
The only person this could have been was Dean.
I cant see Edwards doing this.

Yeah, I haven't really figured the Hillary angle myself.

Hillary would never be able to survive a real election contest. She'd die in a heap in the primaries.

Her only chance is to step in at the last moment -- which basically means a brokered convention, or a dying candidate throwing her a bunch of delegates.

Once nominated, she could basically coast to the general convention on the novelty (first female presidential candidate!) and scripted appearances of the sort she used in her Senate campaign.
