We’re going to need a thread II as this one is starting to slow the site down. Also, on the new thread, please stop posting the name and pictures of the person you think the woman may be. The evidence doesn’t support the claim and we don’t need to be doing that. Wait for it to come out. It will. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1076893/posts

CAMPAIGN DRAMA ROCKS DEMOCRATS -Drudge Alert (Thread II)

CAMPAIGN DRAMA ROCKS DEMOCRATS

CAMPAIGN DRAMA ROCKS DEMOCRATS: KERRY FIGHTS OFF MEDIA PROBE OF RECENT ALLEGED INFIDELITY, RIVALS PREDICT RUIN

Update 2:

CAMPAIGN DRAMA ROCKS DEMOCRATS: KERRY FIGHTS OFF MEDIA PROBE OF RECENT ALLEGED INFIDELITY, RIVALS PREDICT RUIN

**World Exclusive**
**Must Credit the DRUDGE REPORT**

A frantic behind-the-scenes drama is unfolding around Sen. John Kerry and his quest to lockup the Democratic nomination for president, the DRUDGE REPORT can reveal.

Intrigue surrounds a woman who recently fled the country, reportedly at the prodding of Kerry, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.

A serious investigation of the woman and the nature of her relationship with Sen. John Kerry has been underway at TIME magazine, ABC NEWS, the WASHINGTON POST and the ASSOCIATED PRESS, where the woman in question once worked.

MORE

A close friend of the woman first approached a reporter late last year claiming fantastic stories -- stories that now threaten to turn the race for the presidency on its head!

In an off-the-record conversation with a dozen reporters earlier this week, General Wesley Clark plainly stated: "Kerry will implode over an intern issue." [Three reporters in attendance confirm Clark made the startling comments.]

The Kerry commotion is why Howard Dean has turned increasingly aggressive against Kerry in recent days, and is the key reason why Dean reversed his decision not to drop out of the race after Wisconsin, top campaign sources tell the DRUDGE REPORT.

Update 3

FROM CONRESSIONAL QUARTERLY'S CRAIG CRAWFORD: 'Drudge item on Kerry intern issue is something Chris Lehane (clark press secy) has shopped around for a long time -- it was one reason the Gore vetters in 2000 shied away from Kerry as a running mate choice -- their conclusion that it wasn't bad enough to disqualify him, except for the fact that they couldn't risk it as they were trying so hard to distance themselves from Clinton's personal failings (note: Lehane worked for Gore at the time -- and briefly advised Kerry during this campaign). The Kerry camp has long expected to deal with this, and have assured party leaders they can handle it'...

Distance makes the heart grow fonder!

The story I heard involved a couple of woodpeckers. The punch line is "The farther you are from home, the harder your pecker gets."

I don't know that I would call her odd. She's her own person and I respect that. She's an individual, like all of us are. She's just not afraid to not conform to the mould of others' expectations. I think that's to be commended. I suspect that Kerry knows that as well and he's probably as afraid of her as he is losing the presidency. Ha! I don't think she's going to be pushed around.

I hate to say bubba is better (gag!!!), but at least bubba stayed and faced us, waving his finger in the air and lying to us all denying sex with "that woman", Miss Lewinski.

catsup boy took the cowardly way out, ran from the affair, sent her out of the country (if it is true, and God, I hope it is) to avoid facing the music (even with lies). All along he has been setting himself up as holier than thou, above the fray, regarding the non-issue of the President's Bational Guard Service.

Guess the catsup has been watered down.

Wonder if Theresa has a special BBQ sauce before she burns his ass?

"There is more of this than one woman, folks."

Here's a Boston Globe article I posted on a previous thread:

The Boston Herald, Sept 2, 1998 p008

Job seeker is model constituent. (News) Gayle Fee; Laura Raposa. Full Text: COPYRIGHT 1998 Boston Herald

Question of the day: Who was the statuesque blonde strutting out of Sen. John Kerry's palatial Louisburg Square manse late Monday night when Kerry's wife, heiress Teresa Heinz, was on Nantucket?

We are told she is a 22-year-old Harvard student and former model who, Kerry's people claim, was dropping off a resume.

Our spies on the Square say the stunning Southern gal, dressed in oh-so-chic black, arrived at Kerry's townhouse around 11:15 p.m. and left just before the clock struck 12.

Not unlike Cinderella.

Which leads us to ask: In the age of Monica Lewinsky, is it smart for a senator with presidential aspirations to be entertaining attractive women when the wife is away? "He was very kind to me. He offered to pass my resume along," the young woman told the Track.

The Georgetown grad said she was not at Kerry's home at midnight - more like 10:45 p.m. - and that she would have dropped off the resume earlier except that it was locked in her brother's apartment.

Both the young woman and Kerry's people insist the encounter was completely innocent. They said the senator met her on Nantucket earlier this summer, then again last weekend.

She supposedly mentioned she was looking for a job and he told her to drop off a resume.

Which she did after attending a party for her brother in Boston the other night.

"They met, she mentioned the fact she was looking for a job and she dropped off her resume," said Kerry's spokesguy, Jim Jones. "It was like 15 minutes."

Jones also claims the meeting between Kerry and the young woman happened earlier in the evening, after the senator returned home from having drinks with a Globe reporter at the fab Four Seasons hotel.

"He had drinks until about 9:15, went home, had dinner, then she came by," Jones said.

The senator was on the phone to his wife about 11:15, Jones said, and in bed by midnight.

Jones said there's nothing going on between Kerry and the young woman.

"The tone and appearance of that would be horrendous in the current climate," he said.

File under: Resume central.

Fair enough. The key is that she might very well NOT react like the classic political wife, whose success and future is so closely tied to her husband's career. That's what makes this so intriguing.

She might give the interview of the century to Katie Couric or the like!

" Not if Clark was a placeholder for Satan."

But,but.. The Democrats have been screaming for weeks that only a "decorated,Vietnam vet" is a suitable candidate for President. Hillary looks and sounds like a Drill Sergeant, but, that doesn't count for military service.

"ABC Radio Affiliate in Washington, D.C. broke with the Kerry/Associated Press intern sex and coverup story (very briefly) as the top of the news stories, about 10 minutes ago. Brief mention, basically parotting the Drudge text."

That was quick. Cat's out of the bag. 24/7 coverage coming up.....
