'Bush and I were lieutenants'
George Bush and I were lieutenants and pilots in the 111th Fighter Interceptor Squadron (FIS), Texas Air National Guard (ANG) from 1970 to 1971. We had the same flight and squadron commanders (Maj. William Harris and Lt. Col. Jerry Killian, both now deceased). While we were not part of the same social circle outside the base, we were in the same fraternity of fighter pilots, and proudly wore the same squadron patch.

Thank-you Dear,
Very good article, the dissing of the National Guard is particularly offensive to me, I am in the only Army National Guard Unit to be extended to serve in Iraq beyond their 365 days, I am very proud of what my unit has done here. On Nov 2nd one Of Our CH-47's was shot down near Fallujah and Three of my comrades were lost, three outstanding National Guardsmen.

Good Morning America "said" they were looking for this evidence, but could not find it.When you are looking for something you don't want to find, you usually don't have to try very hard not to find it. But we KNEW that....

Awesome. As a career officer with nearly 23 years under my belt I can't help but wonder if the folks spreading this crap have ever been in the military. I've read many of the documents related to Bush's service and I marvel at the conclusions these yahoos come to--from the same documents.
As a side light, one of the documents that the left loves to talk about is the National Guard Bureau order grounding Lt Bush. Bush actually was suspended from flying due to having a lapsed flight physical--a fairly routine matter. On that same order (Posted Here) there is a Major James A Bath from the same unit. He is suspended for the same reason. Id love to talk to him.

Here's a salute to Col. William Campenni (ret.) for coming forward. And for his 33 years of Guard service.

The photos are a good idea. The comparison of his service photos with F'n's hippie pics should be shown all over the world. I wish I could buy billboard space!

Found this, but its not the one I'm looking for. The one I remember had a source and date line.
According to one document I found on the web, any photos that included John Kerry and Jane Fonda TOGETHER would have to have been taken at a VVAW conference in February, 1971: This former naval officer abandoned his oath of office, joined up with the hard-communist left and now claims to have founded Vietnam Veterans Against the War, or (VVAW). He did attend their conference in February 1971 with Jane Fonda -- Hanoi Jane, their most successful promoter and fund-raiser.

"But, we've digressed from the point a bit. I think it's unrealistic for the Dems or anyone else to draw any vast conclusions from a primary where 10% or less of the eligible voters actually voted. The was the first binding primary in Virginia in a looooong time. You would've thought the dems would have gotten out the vote better."
If you extrapolate the numbers, very roughly, across the states you will see that the dem candidate is being decided by about 10% of the eligible dem voters. That would mean 10M people deciding the candidate for 100M people. I was hoping this would lead to a Dean nomination!

Don't get me wrong - I'm as interested as anyone in finding out more about Kerry here. However, all this photo shows me is that Kerry attended what looks to be some sort of rally that Jane Fonda was attending. How does this show that he knew her, let alone ran her organization?
Kerry didn't run Fonda's organization, but Fonda helped fund the activities of VVAW, which Kerry co-founded. I suggest you read "Aid and Comfort" by Henry Mark Holzer and Erika Holzer. The book is primarily about Jane Fonda's anti-war activities and the case for treason. The book mentions the connection between Fonda and her organization and VVAW. Fonda and her advisors considered the VVAW a "strong element" in their coalition.

STILL not the one I'm looking for, but, thanks to FReeper arasina, here's another link to
this:
...I am not here as John Kerry. I am here as one member of the group of 1,000 which is a small representation of a very much larger group of veterans in this country, and were it possible for all of them to sit at this table they would be here and have the same kind of testimony....
WINTER SOLDIER INVESTIGATION
I would like to talk, representing all those veterans, and say that several months ago in Detroit, we had an investigation at which over 150 honorably discharged and many very highly decorated veterans testified to war crimes committed in Southeast Asia, not isolated incidents but crimes committed on a day-to-day basis with the full awareness of officers at all levels of command....
They told the stories at times they had personally raped, cut off ears, cut off heads, taped wires from portable telephones to human genitals and turned up the power, cut off limbs, blown up bodies, randomly shot at civilians, razed villages in fashion reminiscent of Genghis Khan, shot cattle and dogs for fun, poisoned food stocks, and generally ravaged the countryside of South Vietnam in addition to the normal ravage of war, and the normal and very particular ravaging which is done by the applied bombing power of this country.

THANK YOU!

Oh geez. I shouldn't have mentioned James Bath. It seems the lefties already have a conspiracy to explain his ties to Bush. Google the name "James R Bath", if you have the stomach for it.

"...if the Repubs lay off picking on Kerry about his voting record, the Dems will lay off the NG issue." ROFL...shouldn't Kerry be PROUD of his voting record?! Why would he want the voting public to remain ignorant of it? Exactly. Another aspect that I find galling is their proposition is: If you promise not to tell the truth about our guy, we won't tell lies about yours.

Your welcome. I should mention that the book is well documented and the foreward is written by Col. George "Bud" Day who holds the Congressional Medal of Honor and the Air Force Cross.
