SENATOR KERRY'S BREATHTAKING HYPOCRISY

Once upon a time there was a wicked vizier who was jealous of the sultan's power and sought the throne for himself. He did everything he could to undermine the sultan's authority by making him seem to be a weak and ineffectual leader.
The vizier arranged for the sultan's fastest runner to be cut off at the knees, then screamed at the runner for failing to win a 24-mile race.
He hung an anchor around the neck of the sultan's best swimmer, then protested that it was "an outrage" when the swimmer failed to beat swimmers from other nations across a mighty, swift river.
Since the vizier controlled the town crier and all other news outlets, the public heard only about the humiliating defeats, not the reasons for the setbacks.
Did the wicked vizier succeed with his machinations? Only time will tell.
Sen. John Kerry is the vizier.
Kerry, along with Sen. Frank Church and other powerful Democrats, did everything in their power to weaken the Central Intelligence Agency. Kerry sponsored a bill to cut $1.5 billion from intelligence gathering -- then, after the terrorist attacks of 9-11, he asked why America's intelligence wasn't better. Now he is complaining that faulty CIA intelligence was used to justify the war against Iraq.
CIA director George Tenet reported that when he took office, the number of agents graduating from CIA training was shockingly low. The agency is now beginning to recover from years of neglect under the Clinton administration.
Kerry's hypocrisy is breathtaking.
A decorated Vietnam hero, Kerry made a show of throwing his medals away in protest against the war -- but they later turned up in his office. Apparently he threw someone else's medals away while keeping his own. He is not even honest about his opposition to the Vietnam War.
As a member of the U.S. Senate, Kerry has voted against virtually every defense spending bill.
He voted against the B-1 bomber, the Abrams tank and the Patriot missile. The B-1 bomber and the Abrams tank were important weapons in the war against Saddam Hussein. The Patriot missile saved lives during the first Gulf War. If Kerry had had his way, our troops would have been deprived of those weapons.
Can we trust this man to defend the United States against terrorists who are reportedly intent on acquiring and detonating a "dirty bomb" in a major American city?
I think not.
Kerry voted with most of the Senate to approve military action against Saddam, but now says it was a mistake.
It seems that Kerry spends most of his time talking out of both sides of his mouth.
Kerry is now the apparent frontrunner for the Democratic presidential nomination, following Howard Dean's meltdown. I don't suppose we should be surprised. Democrats also love Bill Clinton, the most accomplished deceiver to occupy the White House.

Very good points.
Kerry's attack on Bush's service record is absurd. Even if it was true, which it is not. I'd still be voting for Bush in November. His distant past is not an issue. His recent past and present are issues. A few Bush issues I disagree with, but I'm still 85% in agreement.
With Kerry I have 0% agreement on any issue. Hell his flip flopping makes him at odds with himself. Kerry's recent past and his present speak volumes of his Socialistic America Hating attitude. How can he accept communion if he supports abortion? On what topic or issue is he legit or even consistent?
Talk of either's service record is absurd and really not relevent.

I don't suppose we should be surprised. Democrats also love Bill Clinton, the most accomplished deceiver to occupy the White House. The main similarity to Clinton that we might want to point out is the fact that Kerry and Clinton are both mired in the sixties, they never left it ideologically, neither has EVER had a real job in the private sector, and America is STILL the enemy to them.
To BE a Democrat is to live a lie, and requires deception, but I think Kerry will lose precisely because he is NOT the accomplished deceiver that Clinton was.(is).

I like to ask - why? Why should America elect John Kerry president? What does he bring to the table? Connection with the average guy - he's an elitist of the first order. Excitement - he's a total bore. A better approach to the war on terror - Kerry is a well established wrong headed dove. A fix for the economy - He wants to raise taxes on an economy that is recovering based on tax cuts.
The only real reason Kerry is getting run up in the press - He's a democrat. John Kerry is the absolute wrong person at the wrong time.

That pretty much somes it up. IMHO, when Bush gets in campaign mode it will be an entirely different game. Until the dems proclaim a candidate Bush needs to do just what he's doing.

And here I thought this excellent article was going to be slamming Johnny (Bush Went AWOL) Kerry for his defense of Clinton's draft-dodging. Oh, well. There's always next time.

A lot of killer campaign commercials can be made from this article alone. Hopefully the GOP has the good sense to run them.

I would still like to see the medical records regarding all three Purple Hearts. You know, "trust... but verify"?
(I can no longer bring myself to trust anything a democrat says, so let's just see the doctor's note.)

With Kerry I have 0% agreement on any issue. I agree with John F. Kerry about half of the time. Unfortunately he is contradicting himself on these same points the other half of the time!

It is impossible to be sure which stand he is taking on what day. It must be hard for him to be for and against everything.

It seems that Kerry spends most of his time talking out of both sides of his mouth. I personally don't think he is speaking by using his mouth...I think he is speaking from another oriface...

Excellent point... but we all know the media would jump all over anyone with the effrontery to challenge Our War Hero. Isn't it ironic, given that Pres. Bush's honorable discharge, and the paperwork he has provided, apparently don't resolve the issue, there remains all these unanswered questions, blah blah blah. Yet we're expected to take all of Senator Kerry's war honors at face value. This hypocrisy had never occurred to me before.... you are very right!
