The Hill - Photos of the Year ^

Look closely at the photos - just below Colin Powell, and to the right of Al Sharpton, you will see one of the hundreds of "anti-war" rally posters that had been plastered to lightboxes throughout the city.
The photo had been taken after the DC Chapter's stealth "Truth in Advertising Team" had made their rounds one evening.
The team of four, led by a former military PsyOp expert, made several late-night missions onto the mean streets of DC to place the stickers. We would go out one night and hit all the boxes around Union Station, the Capitol, Supreme Court, and even International ANSWER HQ, only to find our stickers pulled off the next night; so, out we'd go again - more determined to spread the truth about who was aiding the "anti-war" movement.
We widened our area of operation to include posters placed on 14th, 15th, 16th and 17th Streets, H Street (along Lafayette Park), K Street, North Capitol Street. We could tell, as the week wore on, that we were really rankling the lefties, because they were tearing the heck out of their own posters in an effort to remove our expertly affixed disclaimers!
We had covered so many of their posters that they were unable to keep up with us. There were several areas where our stickers were never removed.
One night as two of our team worked along K Street, we passed two lefties going in the opposite direction who were carrying a bucket of paste and flyers. We went back to that area later, to "further elaborate" on their messages.

Heavenly Father, we return to give You thanks for the patriots who have brought honor to the cause of liberty and freedom. They have not looked for honor for themselves, but they have honored America in the way they have served. Bless each one of these dear FReepers ... grant them success in the fight over the soul of America. And may we, O God, join them wherever we are, that liberty and freedom may continue to be a way of life, unto our children's children and beyond. In the Name of Jesus, I pray, Amen ...

After hearing the freeper that asked the questions at the WH press conference today and seeing this post...It made me realize how a few CAN make a difference.....Thank you, JR and thank you DC chapter.
Did either of you read Wolfstar Comment last evening? (The bold are mine):
But for me, born and bred in the NYC area, I still carry 9/11 around in my heart every day. I have been waiting patiently for 2004 to roll around, because my way of fighting back against the radical Islamists is to do everything I possibly can to help ensure the reelection of George W. Bush. I can't be on the front lines with the troops, and I can't be in Washington at the President's side. So this is my battle; my part in this war. ..."

We ran off our own stickers using full page stick-on labels -- three to a page. We used Red ink most of the time, but I believe I ran some copies off on our fax/copier in black and white. Using scissors takes too long to cut the stickers -- Kinko's or Staples both have paper cutters that you can use for free.
All too often, cANSWER returns. Let's see, hmmmmm. Who will replace Saddam on the stickers for the March 20 rally?
I am in receipt of some of cANSWER's emails with information about planning meetings in NYC and other cities. If anyone is interested, I can forward that information on so that other chapters can infiltrate or make counterprotest plans for March 20.

It's been aggravating these past couple of years, seeing the leftists at ANSWER getting MegaBucks and MegaPressCoverage for their "peace rallies", not to mention all their posters plastered on every darn flat surface in the city. A few of us were sitting around one night, snarling about it all, and the idea evolved from there.
The Washington Post still idolizes ANSWER; but we're working on that.

Will do, Missy. BTW, I read your report on the VA Freep you guys did. Great work! Have you ever thought of relocating to DC? We could always use another artistic soul such as yourself up this way.
