John Kerry taking campaign to the enemy? [WorldNetDaily runs my tip-off]
WorldNetDaily ^ | 2/9/04 | WorldNetDaily

Iran's Mehr News Agency reports it has received an e-mail from the presidential campaign of Sen. John Kerry pitching the candidate as one who will "repair the damage done" to international relations by President Bush.

According to a report in the Tehran Times, the front-runner's campaign office sent the following note to the news agency:

As Americans who have lived and worked extensively overseas, we have personally witnessed the high regard with which people around the world have historically viewed the United States. Sadly, we are also painfully aware of how the actions and the attitudes demonstrated by the U.S. government over the past three years have threatened the goodwill earned by presidents of both parties over many decades and put many of our international relationships at risk. It is in the urgent interests of the people of the United States to restore our country's credibility in the eyes of the world. America needs the kind of leadership that will repair alliances with countries on every continent that have been so damaged in the past few years, as well as build new friendships and overcome tensions with others.

We are convinced that John Kerry is the candidate best qualified to meet this challenge. Senator Kerry has the diplomatic skill and temperament as well as a lifetime of accomplishments in field of international affairs. He believes that collaboration with other countries is crucial to efforts to win the war on terror and make America safer.

An understanding of global affairs is essential in these times, and central to this campaign Kerry has the experience and the understanding necessary to successfully restore the United States to its position of respect within the community of nations. He has the judgment and vision necessary to assure that the United States fulfills a leadership role in meeting the challenges we face throughout the world.

The current administration's policies of unilateralism and rejection of important international initiatives, from the Kyoto Accords to the Biological Weapons Convention, have alienated much of the world and squandered remarkable reserves of support after 9-11. This climate of hostility affects us all, but most especially impacts those who reside overseas. Disappointment with current U.S. leadership is widespread, extending not just to the corridors of power and politics, but to the man and woman on the street as well.

We believe John Kerry is the Democrat who can go toe-to-toe against the current administration on national security and defense issues. We also remain convinced that John Kerry has the best chance of beating the incumbent in November, and putting America on a new course that will lead to a safer, more secure and more stable world.

Kerry has been critical of Bush's foreign policy, saying the president has severely damaged relations with other nations.

While Kerry's e-mail mentions combating terrorism, Iran has been long on the U.S. list of nations sponsoring terrorism. Two years ago in his State of the Union address, the president referred to Iran, Iraq and North Korea as an "axis of evil."

Iran is officially considered an Islamic republic, governed by Muslim Shia law.

Commercial relations between Iran and the United States are restricted by U.S. sanctions and consist mainly of Iranian purchases of food and medical products and U.S. purchases of carpets and food. The U.S. government prohibits most trade with Iran.

The U.S. State Department cites the following as "serious obstacles" to improved relations between the two countries:

Iranian efforts to acquire nuclear weapons and other weapons of mass destruction;

its support for and involvement in international terrorism;

its support for violent opposition to the Middle East peace process; and

its dismal human rights record. As reported in Joseph Farah's G2 Bulletin, Tehran is sponsoring a 10-day conference of major terrorist organization this week. The purpose of the conference is to discuss anti-U.S. strategy.

Among the groups headed to Iran to participate are: Hamas, Hezbollah, Islamic Jihad and al-Qaida allies Ansar Al Islam.

This sounds borderline treasonous. Or at the very least, interfering with affairs of state. IMO he should be roasted for this.

And, IMO this was a bald faced attempt to seek campaign contributions. I would like to see a lawsuit filed.

Did Kerry send letters to organized drug families and pornographers too? Those groups would be better off with a dem in the White House too. What about AQ? What would they pay to get us off their backs? Iran? Tip of the iceberg.

Kerry has been critical of Bush's foreign policy, saying the president has severely damaged relations with other nations.

But most American’s are unaware that the Islamic Republic of Iran is NOT supported by the masses of Iranians today. Modern Iranians are among the most pro-American in the Middle East.

We AREN'T aware!

Keep on getting the word out bro...And btw, nice home page.

OH MY GOSH! Truer words were NEVER said. The dems sik to new lows at an astounding rate...your term 'disgusting' is almost meaningless in describing their deeply rooted desire to take it to the bottom.

Do these scumbags feel as dirty as they appear ?

Well I remember, not to long after nine/eleven, herr billy klinton blaming the US for the deadly attack on the WTC. Now senator heiress hounding kerry has staffers send a placating email to Iran (and yep, I don't believe for a MINUTE he is unaware of this reaching out to shake a snake deal). Even as the regular citizens of Iran are screaming for democracy.

kerry is a stupid as the hollyweird starlets he smoozes.

And because he is senator, and therefore WELL AWARE of his place in contacting foreign dignitaries, WELL AWARE of the harm that can be done in taking an American election into a pit of the terrorist and rogue state world, WELL AWARE of trashing an American president to an enemy and the repercussions that could ensue...one HAS to assume that kerry is willing to sell out his nation for a piece of gold, er, the oval office.

Great Job!

Assume you've sent this around.
How about Hugh Hewitt, since DoctorZin was just on his show the other day talking about Iran?

Every terrorist in the world is hoping the Rats take back the WH so things can go back to the way they were. Attacks with no worries of retribution. The US appologizing for every suicide murderer around the world. Giving Isreal to the PLO. Carterism the rule of the day....

Pray for W and Our Troops

.."especially the ..ones.. he made homeless."

Now that's a juicy tidbit about J.F.Kerry I did not know! Tell me more! How did he make them homeless?

By the way, thanks to Free Republic, I have finally found the optimal single word that best describes this JFK: TRAITOR. Anyone who slanders American vets is less than scum.

By the way, may God bless you and all the Vietnam Vets who served this country so well. You are all my hereos.

President Bush has put the kibosh on nations who are making nuclear weapons...Kerry's attempt at appeasement is the consummate weak American these people would like to see back in the White House, they are frightened by a president who means what he says.
