If this mornings interview between Tim Russert and our President is indicative of what we can expect for media coverage, we are in for a bloody fight similar to Peleliu in WW2! Russert was on the attack for the full hour, reiterating statements that have long since been rendered spurious, and showed little or no respect for the fact that he was interviewing the leader of the free world! Now, we all know Russert is a biased shameless liberal, but he didn't even attempt to be balanced, or objective. Why Presisent Bush agreed to this interview in the first place is lost on me. He, or his advisors should have done this with Brit Hume, or someone of his political proclivities.
Let's face it folks, The dominant media elite is still fuming over the Florida debacle. If I were an advisor to Dubya, I would make provisions for massive voter fraud in the coming election, and make provisions for the upcoming bloody attack by the leftist media. Lying is like mother's milk for the left, and is endemic to their beliefs and culture. President Bush should be cognisant of the fact that the left will do anything to assure his demise

Tim Russert showed me nothing this morning. He regurgitated negatives thrown about by Bush's opponents, and gave GW a chance to respond.
That was the gist of his interview.

Florida was clearly an attempt to steal the election by Gore. They had Michigan and Illinois challenges ready as well but their hijinks in those States paid off before the election.
The fact that the media is not reporting one of the greatest scandals in American history proves how incompetent and biased the Press is.
The crimes in Florida are so obvious, yet they are not reported. But, Gore promised he would get to the bottom of it.
Regarding hate as mentioned above. I don't hate Kennedy or Clinton who are corrupt and vile. I hate the media for incompetence and bias. They could report the truth and do their jobs but they chose to lie. Fortunately, their power has run it's course and the right is going to take over anyway. And because the press has made themselves ineffective by their bias, they won't be able to control the American right. Sad.

Best line I heard was from Krauthammer on FoxNews. To believe the Left, you have to believe that Saddam supported every terrorist group in the Middle East EXCEPT Al Qaeda.

I, too, think Russert's questions gave our good President and his advisors more insight into what's coming. I think Russert was just posing questions that have been thrown out by different factions.....including some RINO's. I do think he looked a bit windblown but that wasn't my focus. I think the President came across stronger, more confident at the end of the interview. He seemed too soft spoken when discussing the war/WMD. I hope the RNC et al will bring out factual past statements made by Clinton, Kerry and other Dems that show they believed Saddam had WMD. Read

Virtually all of Russert's questions were Democratic talking points. It was painfully obvious that he was carrying water for them, attacking the President in every instance. Wonder if he felt any guilt about doing a partisan hatchet job on a wartime president--in the Oval Office?
To: 4integrity
He did well towards the end, but who could have done better, with all the crap Russert through out?

'....the Bush people have to step up......
Patricia, I agree. But, I urge all to remember WE are part of the Bush people and that means WE must step up. We need to help get more Republicans registered and get more people out to vote for President Bush.
With probable openings on the Supreme Court due to retirements, a Kerry win is frightening. More frightening is Kerry having the UN, or worse...France, determining the future of the USA!

"These newspapers, owned and edited by these men, although free from the repulsive vulgarity of the yellow press, were susceptible to influence by the priviledged interests, and were almost or quite as hostile to manliness as they were to unrefined vice...they favored the removal of tariff on works of art; they favored all the proper (and even more strongly all the improper) movements for international peace and arbitration; in short, they favored all good, and many goody-goody, measures so long as they did not cut deep into social wrong or make demands on National and individual virility. They opposed, or were lukewarm about, efforts to build up the army and the navy, for they were not sensitive concerning National honor; and, above all, they opposed every non-milk-and-water effort, however sane, to change our social and economic system in such a fashion as to sustitute the ideal justice towards all for the ideal of kindly charity from the favored few to the possibly grateful many."

Great take on the campaign and today's show. The President must get out of that "It's just politics...no big deal", and come out swinging!
