I just heard Russert going on and on about the McAwful charge of AWOL and Tim's asking if the President would release his National Guard records, which President Bush said were there in 1990.

Does ANYONE recall if Russert or anyone else in the media EVER asked why Clinton's medical records were NEVER released?

"A lot of people say uh...uh...uh when they speak"

I think he was shocked that he was getting the same questions over and over again. He wanted to say, "I just answered that you jerk".

BTW, Hildabeast is the worst at uh...ahh...uh...ahhh...hmm...ahh.

Did you hear Juan Williams, the other day, say that his wife was asking him about the debates. She asked him who that tall man in middle was. Of course, it was John Kerry. She said, he looks presidential. How dumb is that? Her husband's work is in politics and she doesn't know who the candidates are? DUH!

That's funny. My then 9 year old (just turned 10) watched the debates and got mad at Kerry because he didn't answer the question he was asked. She actually was listening! LOL

BTW, thanks [not] for ignoring the rest of my comments, that's the real issue.

The time to consider any alternative candidates within the party is NOT nine months out!

I never see consideration paid to this aspect of the 'political process' ...

"True, he may not be a "polished" speaker, but I think he comes across as an honest speaker."

That is very true. He was earnest and honest.

After all the reasons I might list for supporting this President, after all the reasons I give for grumbling over this and that,it comes down to trust.

I trust him with my country.I do not trust Kerry at all.

I respected the answer he gave "Was it worth the lives of over 500 deaths and 3000 injured."That is a very heavy question

He did hesitate, but because he was thinking of and wanted to choose carefully to honor the sacrifice and mourning.

He thought the middle east would be transformed by a free Iraq with Saddam gone, lessening recruiting of terrorists, hatred, therefore lessening danger to American children.

One thing's for sure..
this will be a CLEAR cut decision for the electorate this fall.

Do you want a president that will preserve our national security OR..
do you want a president that will compromise our national security?

Bear in mind, we just had 8 years of the latter and look what it got us.

Why? The only answer is that he sees that as the President's biggest problem.

You're right about that. As an interviewer with almost one hour alone with the president, Russert failed because he acted as a stand in for the Democrats rather than an independent interviewer.

Score this one for President Bush.

I don't care if he stammered. What I care about is his honesty, and that was evident.Bill Clinton was a good speaker.Look what that got us!

John Effing Kerry was graduated from Yale in '66.
Our Honorable and Dignified President Bush was graduated from Yale in '68.

Kerry could have known "W" for two years, GW's Freshman and Sophomore years...

This caller who spoke quite articulately, obviously sees what she reads in these publications as fact. She said that Mike Allen was just a stenographer for Bush

Mike Allen of the WP is anti-Bush. He's the one who did the "turkey" story back when Bush went to Iraq, in an attempt to deflate the importance of the president's trip there.

Holy cripes! What color is the sky in this woman's Republic.com? If a reporter doesn't do an actual "Sic Semper Tyrannus", he's a "stenographer"???!!?!?

Good analogy, and here's another. How did the presence of Soviet missles in Cuba constitute an "immediate" threat to the United States? We certainly had missles close to and aimed at the USSR. Where was the proof that the Soviets intended to use the missles? And yet, JFK was willing to launch a preemptive attack on Cuba.

He was earnest and honest.

Yes, and I think most people sense that. It really does come across with GW. He is doing the best he can in very difficult circumstances.

When Dems pretend the answers are obvious and different, and everything is black and white, they are the ones who sound very out of touch. This is a complicated world we live in right now. Pointing the finger endlessly for political purposes just doesn't arouse a lot of people, IMO.

Love that comment that the Congress had the "same information" he had... very important this will be in the campaign. It will force Kerry, who had "the same information" to either admit he agrees with the President, or that he's a liar or a fool. He can't win this argument.

I watched David Kay testify before the Senate and he said to Kennedy: "As you know, Senator, before the war I sat in your office and reviewed the intelligence and we agreed Iraq had WMDs".

In a fair and just world of reporting, this would not be ignored. The president is left to point it out, and the media acts like he's making it up.

Yes I agree. Russert did a disservice to the nation in ignoring illegal immigration and the culture wars.

A question and a followup on WMD would have been sufficient. 45 minutes on same belied an agenda.
