Unfortunately, all Russert information comes directly from the DNC fax line. He has no interest in the truth or the facts.

So far he seems to me to be strong and confident. Just now at the discussion of Tenet's job not being in jeopardy.

Timmy wasn't pulling any punches. I thought the President did really well. Of course, the final analysis is going to depend on what soundbites CNN etc choose to play from the interview.

point well taken...
when you go back to our history in the late 1800s, we had a large surplus and several depressions...and we were trying to decide what to do with the surplus...meanwhile the job situation was bleak.
Deficits aren't good, but sometimes they are necessary when one is coming OUT of recession...esp. one exacerbated by the attacks of 9/11 and what they did to the airline and tourism industries...every one seems to forget that...

Do you want that?
I want the question asked and answered!
Legislature 2004
Panel OKs ID cards for Mexican nationals
By a vote of 6-3, the House Judiciary Committee yesterday passed House Bill 3029, which authorizes statewide acceptance of the card, known as a matricula consular and issued by the Mexican government to nationals living in the United States.
The Department of Licensing accepts the card as a secondary form of ID, and the bill wouldn't change that. Washington does not consider an individual's legal immigration status when issuing state driver's licenses or ID cards.
Mexico is not part of the USA. Do you want that?
No, but tell that to the Marxican's.

Yet another sign this was a good interview...if it was disastrous they would not have preempted Meet the Press.
Bush...everything that we look at must be taken in the context of war.
To: mystery-ak
Answers and words are important, but demeanor is everything...does he look strong and confident in his answers...... In the beginning, he was a little uneasy, but after he warmed up, his demeanor was great. I now see that the comment that he "took over the interview" is accurate.

Russert threw out the opening volley, and Bush said, whoa, wait a minute, let me give you background info first. That set the tone. Bush was not going to let Russert control the interview. And you're right about the interruptions. Russert looked childish.

The president intends to run a positive campaign, and that is admirable, but I think Kerry's voting record and his own words should be used AGAINST him. I'm not sure the president will do that however. Kerry should be asked to name one thing that he has done since 1970 that would give us confidence that the defense of this country is his primary goal.
To: mylife
timmy is obsessed with getting W to "testify" before all these various commissions.... he won't let it go!
for a professional journalist, why can't timmy just move on to his next DNC talking point..
To: Amelia
thanks for the transcript. I'm getting something called "Flashpoint" out of Detroit. :(
I don't know if/when MTP will come on.

IMHO, it's all be pre-determined by the powers that be....such as Kennedy and the rest of the america haters. I can't believe that Kerry would've come in anywhere near 2nd in SC without all the media hype. He wasn't even "on the list" for anyone I know in that state.
