Hillary Clinton is furious, apparently, and has warned her husband, Bill, to "cool his 'close relationship' with a wealthy blond divorcee . . ." according to this week's cover story in the supermarket tabloid the Globe. The rich blond divorcée? Well, she's none other than Belinda Stronach, one of the leadership candidates for the Conservative Party. She and the former U.S. president are featured prominently in this week's issue.
(Remember there is a Canadian connection because Bonnie Fuller, the chief editorial director of the company that owns the Globe, is a Canadian who has made it big as a magazine editor in the United States.)
The article says that Mrs. Clinton wants her husband to end his alleged relationship with Ms. Stronach and has read him the "bimbo riot act." She's worried it could affect her chances to run for the presidency. It says that Mrs. Clinton has told her husband to stop being "Belinda's political adviser." And: "Any move Bill makes on Belinda will spell D-I-V-O-R-C-E," says the story, which quotes a source as saying "she's sexy and brilliant."
It's no secret here that the two are friends. Ms. Stronach was asked about that at her campaign launch last month but brushed off the question. But the tabloids aren't buying the brush-off. The National Enquirer recently contacted a Parliament Hill reporter to ask about the Belinda/Bill connection. Meanwhile, a spokesman for Ms. Stronach called the Globe's piece "utterly ridiculous."
That was my first thought upon seeing the pics at #52
Boy, it really must frost hillary's a$$ that Ms. Stronach is Conservative. What would be even better is if she's Jewish, because I get the distinct impression that Hillary is not that fond of Jewish people. I'm not even sure why I have that impression, I guess it's because of her comment to Dick Morris, you know the 'all you people care about is...' I'm hesitant to say she's anti-semitic, but for some reason, I get the feeling she is.
OK, don't know about you guys, but I ain't touching this statement.......
They share a certain "moon face" look, I think.
Men like Clinton and Condit are very up front. Before the marry men like Bill Clinton and Gary Condit tell the prospective wife they are going to have sex with lots of other women.
That is why ordinary people are surprised when the wife does nothing when her husband is caught with another woman.
Some men tell the woman they are going to marry that they are going to play golf every saturday morning. IF after they are married someone tells the wife her husband is playing golf on a saturday morning, there is no reaction. When some one tells Hillary Bill is shacked up with some broad, she gets the same reaction.
This is a magazine trying to sell copies.
I remember the story Dick Morris tells. Bill was having lots of woman during his run for Attorney General. Hillary, then his fairly new bride, wrote him a not ordering him to quit playing with his girl friends and get serious about getting elected. Decades ago Hillary's concern abut bill and woman was it might cost him an election.
Back in the McGovern Campaign of 1972, Gary Hart was his campaign manager. Reporters used to joke that no one man could have as much sex as Gary Hart and pay attention to a campaign. After McGovern lost some reporter remarked that it Hart who had the sex but it was mcGovern who got screwed. You will note that Hart having sex on the Monkey Business did not break up Harts marriage, it did cost him the Democratic nomination in 1984.
If you are going to cheat on your wife, tell her before you marry her... not after.... especially if you want to go into politics.
Clinton loved debates. I guess it is Clintonesque to know Bill Clinton, but even Clinton didn't run for the top despite zero political experience, and he didn't get divorced twice. And nobody claims he would be nothing without his Dad. From what I read, this Belinda thing sound bizarre.

And that is...The Quote of the Day!
Sorry...
At least not without a prescription for some heavy duty antibiotics!
