SANAA, Yemen, Jan. 24 (UPI) -- A purported statement by al-Qaida in Yemen warned Saturday of a "major strike" soon in the United States.
The statement, distributed by the Yemeni Tagamoo Party for Reforms, said: "A major strike, a big event will take place in America soon," reminiscent of the Sept. 11 attacks.

Fort Bragg?
Lots of open space for hiding? Camps?
There was/is a big cigarette smuggling op there too.

Sounds like Iran might be next on invasion and Syria will have to wait and cringe.

Vienna-based diplomats said the list of countries the middlemen come from and where they tried to get atomic technology on behalf of Libya or Iran gets longer by the day.
It includes Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, South Africa, Japan, Dubai, Malaysia, the United States and elsewhere in Europe and Asia.It also includes Russia, China and Pakistan.
"Other countries will join that list," said one diplomat. "They (the middlemen) were fishing in many different countries for dual-use technology, countries with high-tech industries. A lot of this technology might have been seemingly innocuous."

Now we have a giant nuclear octopus!

Sean, since you addressed your post to me as well as NM I will respond. With all due respect, the questions in your post appear almost academic as we all know the answers. The question, and then statement, that you end your post with, "Do you see the heavily weighted scale identifying Russia as a belligerent enemy of the United States? It's so obvious that a blind man can see it." implies to me that tou didn't expect a respponse.
As an aside I'll comment that it is my opinion that Russia is NOT an ally, is not to be trusted, and for all I know could be involved with the Axis of Evil countries. On the other hand, if NM is correct in his(her) assessment of the current stage of events, perhaps we might be forced into a closer alliance at for purposes of sheer national survival.
As far as whether Russia will or will not launch an attack during their upcoming exercises, the only thing I'll say at this point is I sure hope they don't. :)

Sure are interesting times. Wish we could get more news out of Iran with the student uprisings, etc. Actually, I'm ready for a good old fashion coup d'etat . Get rid of Tenet and get the CIA back in business, IMO.

Obvious, to me.
I think anyone who doesn't believe this is either
naive,
stupid,
or
traitorous or all 3 and worse.
Thanks.

I don't have a similar feeling or conviction deep in my spirit about Germany like I do about France.
I have SOME wariness but not a deep, intense !!!WATCH OUT!!!
Some prophetic voices have warned about Germany and some have claimed it would be a great help to Israel in dramatic end times. I just don't know. I was not impressed about their handling of the Iraq war.

I'd bet on a jihadi general coup d'etat in Pakistan first.
Google Iran in the news and you get bucketloads of info.

A bit long but I think the SEDiments are fitting.
AL QAEDA AND THE HYPORATS/SHRILLERY GOONS
AL QAEDA--THUGS OF THE DNC?
True enough philosophically . . . and perhaps realistically in terms of the puppet masters who also drive the DNC.
However, not congruent with a lot of visitors and lurkers' constructions on reality and might discourage them from reading the thread. I'd rather they read it out of curiosity or anything positive.

I generally appreciate his posts also. Nothing personal. More like a family squable.
