[history]
Has our culture gone iredeemably to pot, or can we jump for our lives?
On Saturday night Sept. 8, 2001, I did something unusual. I went to Madison Square Garden to watch the taping of a Michael Jackson special that was soon to be aired on CBS. A friend had come to town with tickets and we decided to meet for dinner and go together. We thought it would be fun because we thought it would be strange.

That may be true. Let us hope and pray that some of them will see it. However, what it may - and I hope - accomplish is that those who believe themselves Christians see in themselves the ability to go out and change the world for good and decent folks.

- - - but, in the meantime we have to OCCUPY, and that
means not buying the freak show products. It is almost
at the point, if not at the point, where there is a group
of people who are going to be filthy and maybe we must
just QUIT BUYING THEIR PRODUCT and let them suffocate in
their own filth. Do what we can to stop the garbage that
happened Sunday night from flying in our faces, pray for
people, but "come out from among them!" If this means we
quit all the medias, so be it.

Good for you! She should have been fired.
I just tell my daughter that it's good for her to see what the "other side" is like. She says "He just sounds juvenile and goofy" She also reports that this teacher is "nasty" about ideas that don't line up with his liberal views. It just makes her more determined! At the end of the year I am going to email him "Get right, or get left" -God. I'll wait til after the report card comes out!

We already have an R-rated channel on regular cable. It isn't a premium station. It is aimed at teenagers and children, and if you want FOX News or even CNN, then you must also pay to support all the Viacom-smut channels.
As of last night, hubby went to CBS, MTV, AOL, and the NFL websites. Was there an apology on the front page of any of those websites? NO. And he said there was a link to the half-time performance on CBS.com. I checked this morning, and I did not see it. However, if any of those entities were sorry for what happened, then you'd think they'd have a big apology posted on their front page.
Justin Timberlake will still be at the Grammys. He is nominated for a whole bunch of stuff. And he is claiming to be a victim now.
I checked the Grammy nominations list. I noticed that the Dixie Chics are not up for any awards this year. That speaks volumes about what can happen when the public has enough of Hollywood/entertainment stupidity.
We need to see the faces of the executives behind the smut. The ones who sign the paychecks of the "artists." The ones who produce it. The entertainers only do what their bosses say pay them to do.

But I'm not terribly optimistic about America. The article says the same thing in other words:
"It's a freak show now. The whole thing, it's just a freak show."

Why oh why does anyone care at all about this?
*****
Because it was the action that finally got through to the somnolent majority, the concept of degradation in 'pop' culture. It was a conversation opener, and now possibly, just like the reaction to the Reagan Movie scheduled for broadcast on ABC, the real majority in America will demand an improvement in standards for what is being sold to our children.

-the movie? You certainly don't mean the one they had trouble finding "hollywood" types to support? The Passion? I just hope the young of the world watches it and allows Jesus to reach their souls.

Did you want us to shut up about Clinton's Blow Jobs in the Oval Office? It's the same thing....it's something to be OUTRAGED about!!! We can't just Move On....something needs to be DONE!!
To: Pokey78
We're back to the pre-9/11 freak showThis observation comes as no surprise to anybody who has been watching the Democrats running for President or the Liberals in the Congress and Senate pretending they're really not tearing down our country with their horrendous lies and vicious slanders, which they are using to regain power.
At least half of our society has reverted to the Old Days of "business as usual" aka Bread And Circuses!
The Goth nipple ring and pornographic dance routine during Family Hour are only a symptom of the vast problem.

Have you ever complained to the Principal about your daughter's English teacher?
To: GretchenEE
What Super fries me is that only Janet got kicked off the Grammys, and Justin remains as welcome as Mom's apple pie.Well, heck! Didn't you see the dance and hear the lyrics? What a slutty outfit she was wearing!
She was asking for a good bodice-ripping! She's lucky he didn't throw her to the ground and rape her right there! [/sarcasm]

I'll answer my own question, it wasn't assault and it was only a breast. Why oh why does anyone care at all about this?
What happened was that we had a mirror held up to our faces and the world saw clearly what was there........and we didn't like it. Our children and parents and social friends were all together and we were shamed. They are the immediate fall guys, but it is another stake into pop culture and liberal values. The world has been changing since clintoon and 9/11, it is happening. God moves slowly, but He is moving.

The apologists that say we are to up-tight and we should relax and get sophisticated, including women who think the same way should think the thing through. First these same anti-rape women didnt think about the fact that the; "sophisticated cool"; show they saw was a form of rape. And I wonder how relaxed the Hip Fathers are going to be when their 13 year-old daughters come home from school to report that Johnny ripped my blouse off, aint that cool.
I cant start to describe how offensive the Hollywood and East Coast crowd are. The end of our society as we knew it. They are in charge.
