To think that the White House is not the least bit concerned with running behind an unnominated candidate
in several polls is silly.

I find it hard to believe that Mr. Moran did not touch on Sen. Kerry's public anti-war stance while our troops were still being wounded/killed.

Note to Freepers: If you want to know how useful these January poll nos. are, ask President Robert Dole and President Walter Mondale.

The reason this poll is meaningless is two-fold. One is no one is paying attention, and two no one really knows who Kerry is. Kerry is the knight in shining armor right now, and people kind of see him as their ideal candidate without really knowing. When people find out who Kerry really is, some of that support will peal away.

This is everything you have been saying.

Tend to agree with most of this article, but the following I some what disagree with.
"This is an enormous factor in the president's advantage. The Kerry camp, even with their decision not to limit themselves to matching funds in the primary, is at a severe disadvantage here. At most the Kerry campaign has a few million dollars in the bank and still has to spend on the primary. The Bush team has 100 million dollars. Who would you rather be?"
I don't think the author has taken into account the massive amount of money that the self declared "shadow Democrat party" (IE Soros, moveon.org, etc ) has pledged to spend. This racket needs to be exposed a little more.

The knight in shining armor that will rescue this country from the spending excesses and debt that it has brought on itself is missing. Have fun arguing over the candidate that has overseen this disaster, both have shared the spotlight, but don't consider the problems we face. WE ARE HEADED FOR FINANCIAL RUIN!!!!!

For many months, the White House has been warning supporters, this election will be incredibly close. Karl Rove has gone public with that pronouncement, so let's not make up the fiction that the Bush Campaign isn't getting geared up for a repeat of 2000.
But on to my aggravation du jour:
Steve Murphy, Gehbardt's campaign director and Tony Cohello, former DNC Chairman were on FOXNews this morning to discuss....get this....Kerry beating Bush because Bush has done nothing to repair the hatred he inspired after Florida.
So much for fair and balanced!!

To think that the White House is not the least bit concerned with running behind an unnominated candidate in several polls is silly. No it's not. This is entirely expected and predictable. The White House is paying attention but nobody with any political experience is overly concerned. John Kerry's going to have his day in the sun. Hope he enjoys it because it's not going to last.

Well they're right of course...that's the same reason jeb lost his re-election bid in FL. Remember?

Second fiddle will be drowned out by the entire orchestra that is tuning up in the White House.

Kerry isn't known yet. Yep, and that's the real key. How many people even know what state Kerry is from or that he was Lt. Gov. to Micheal Dukakis, or that Kerry wants to raise taxes....There is a campaign to run yet.
To: CROSSHIGHWAYMAN
The best predictor (excluding party registration and race) of vote behavior in 21st-century America is church attendance. -Robert Moran, Republican polling firm Fabrizio, McLaughlin & AssociatesWhen Mel Gibson's movie comes out, there will be a bump in church attendance and support for W. Ya think?

That knight may well be the conservatives in the House that further trim the President's budget and try to hold the Senate Liberal Republicans at bay.
