*** OFFICIAL KENTUCKY FREEPER MEETING ***

Okay, you people, it has been way too long since we had an official "unofficial" (or should that be unofficial "official"?) meeting of the Kentucky Freepers. I checked back and found that over a full year has passed since we last hosted one of our loud and rowdy meetings.

In an effort to gather the largest possible crowd of Freepers for this event, I am going to throw out some possible dates for an evening meeting here. After doing my research, I have found a handful of upcoming dates on which there are no other Republican and/or conservative meetings in the area and (sometimes more importantly) no University of Louisville or Kentucky basketball games. Here are the possible dates:

Thursday, February 26 <-- (FYI: President Bush is scheduled in Louisville for a morning fundraiser this date)
Friday, February 27
Thursday, March 4
Friday, March 5

So let me know here which of these dates would be best for everyone to attend a meeting in the Louisville area. It's a great time to meet and greet old Freeper friends and make new ones. We also need to decide on a place to meet (the last couple of meets were at Don Pablo's, but we are open to just about any suggestions.)

A Freep meet at that time? Hmmm, may be less likely since that is Derby eve and all. But we will run it by folks once we get past the freep at the end of this month. Cheers!

For me, I've never been to any kind of rally/get together with like minded voters. LOL

Is it alright that my mother/brother come along? And has there been any mention to register this group officially? or is that something that can't be done.

The more the merrier, Courtney; bring a whole bus full of family if you can. LOL.

From the private messages I have received in the last 24 hours, along with the very limited response I have seen on the thread thus far, the Fridays (2/27 or 3/5) look much better than the Thursdays. And that makes sense, because maybe we can get more people from across the state (like skinkinthegrass and INSENSITIVE GUY) to come over, if they don't have to worry about getting up early for work the next morning.

Come on, Kentucky Freepers. I still need to hear from A LOT OF YOU....

Okay, folks. The votes are finally starting to roll in, via the threads, the Kentucky board, and my private Freepmail box. Our Kentucky Freeper Meeting will be held on Friday, March 5, 2004, at 7 pm. Make your plans now to be in Louisville that evening, and invite several other Kentuckians, Southern Indiana residents, or visiting Freepers. And we can begin to discuss possible venues here in town.
