HOUSTON, Feb. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- The tearing of Janet Jackson's costume was unrehearsed, unplanned, completely unintentional and was inconsistent with assurances we had about the content of the performance.
MTV regrets this incident occurred and we apologize to anyone who was offended by it.

Don't forget to let the supporters of last night's show know how you feel. AOL was the main sponsor. Then there's Anheiser-Busch, some stimulation drug for men, and some other unremarkable stuff such as all the shows on CBS.
Drop your cable. It'll send a message. The only things that matter to these folks is $$$$$$$$$$4 and, obviously, sex.
If some guy ripped my shirt off in public, I would be suing his pants off. If I saw folks doing in public what those folks were doing on stage last night, I'd be tempted to report them for public indency. And not for the nipple. The whole package was disgusting!

I switched over to the 'reality' show Surreal Life after the 1/2 time performance. I found it quite entertaining to see a bunch of washed up actors humiliate themselves in public. So who won the game? *sarcasm off*
To: Bush Cheney
If it was "unplanned", they why didn't Janet try to cover herself up???? Most women have that instinct hard wired.

Thanks for the list. Apparently I've been boycotting Viacom and CBS for over 25 years.

Kind of like CBS and MTV decided to take a dump on America's face, and this apology is cheap room freshener to hide the smell.

I've seen better in National Geographic.

It wasn't just Janet--did you catch the commercials? Many were plowing new vulgarity territory.
We had another Television First last night--a Viagra-style med promising long-term sustained erections--

Watching something else, or ignoring TV altogether is more powerful than a gazillion letters any day of the week!
I'm beginning to suspect that even Freepers are not immune to the "let's go see what we can go find to be offended about" neurosis...

Yeah, unintentional! At least they could have shown a more delicate, better shaped mammary gland, something to inspire and induce the crowd to appreciate the more exalted aspects of the female body! This was a coarse exhibition of a large, gross protuberance in a woman's body. It also required an artificial ornament to enhance what must surely have been an awful nipple!

I know that majority of the viewing audience isn't looking at Janet's face...but does anyone else out there see Janet as being "stoned" or looking very much like Diana Ross, or Whitney Houston...etc.....Janet looks positively "out of it."

It wasn't just Janet--did you catch the commercials? Many were plowing new vulgarity territory. You are right about that. The whole Super Bowl extravaganza needs cleaning up - except for the football part. Terrific game, one of the best title games I have ever seen.
To: Bush Cheney
At least we have confirmation that Michael Jackson and Janet Jackson aren't the same person.
Or do we?

Considering that the "entertainment" at last night's halftime show was provided by the nations "hottest" recording artists, is it any wonder that the recording industry is on the decline? They (the RIAA) blame it on file-sharers but the reality is that there is very little pop music made these days that is worth paying for.

"Forget about the boob. This "show" was an in-your-face disgrace from start to finish." Worst half time show ever, bar none! ! ! !
