I think he is brave. I think he knows he is already in danger and so is his country.

Soon I think. I'm hoping, while they are at it, that our troops go into Yemen and clean out that rats nest.

Courage?! The ragheads are trying to whack him (they've just come close twice)and this is simply a "what have I got to lose" desperation move.

It is a shame that all of these weapons that America created have gotten out of hand. You do understand that Germany was close to acquiring the atomic bomb during World War II, don't you?
If so, do you still think it a shame and that maybe we should not have done so?

I think that Musharaff is flying on fumes right now. He basically just drove the final nail in, and soon there will be retribution for what he did. Even if he said 'sorry' for putting the dude under house-arrest, the people would still want to rend him apart for even laying a finger on Khan.
I like to now and then go into other forums, and one of them is this Pakistani site, and those fellas are pi$$ed! If the rabble are feeling that irate what about the clerics? They will whip this into some massive frenzy that will wash over that place.
And then the ISI ....the true power in Pakistan! This is an affront to them, and those guys don't like their figureheads acting like they have cajones!
A deal with the US? I have no way of knowing that, but such an act cropping out of nowhere usually means the 'company' is prowling around there. After all our spooks are now stupid ....they know where the real threats lie, and Pakistan is arguably the biggest intermediate threat there is (at least to me, and to the British Foreign Sec. Jack straw). They would ahve guys over there. Hence there is a chance that our spooks are doing company biz over there .....my only question is how can they convince Musharaff that they will protect him and his kin?
Musharaff may be brave, but i doubt he is suicidal or has some little-known matyr mentality in him. He is educated, and as far as i know rather calculating. He does not wake up one morn and decide that today he shall take on the most admired person in Pakistan!
Something happened, or is happening, and powers are acting over there. I know our spooks are keeping careful tabs, as are the Indians (they have the most to lose, hence i am sure the Indian RAW is checking this out). Who knows ...the Israelis probably have their Mossad checking the situation out (they always check things out), and maybe even the Russians are sniffing around to check the type of scent that is wafting around there.
However i am so curious as to what happened, or what is happening. One thing i am 100% sure of is Musharaff did not just wake up and say that he will arrest Khan. Soemthing led to this.

Pffft! Too bad you cannot see through your prejudices to recognize hoe heroic a move this is. If he succeeds in cleaning out that rats' nest in Pakistan, it will be a wonderful thing for that part of the world and the one chance for Pakistan to progress and thrive.

Asked when he last paid for dinner, Khan said in the same interview, 'It's been a long time, I can't remember, but I have never tried to take undue advantage of who I am. Disembowel and shoot this POS Moo.

prejudices?
If the US wasn't sticking a boot on this guy's neck do you think he would even have thought about giving a damn about this issue?

What do you think "ragheads" suggests about your views?

A well deserved pejorative for those who glorify Jew killings, suicide mass murder and car bombings that incinerate innocents.

It's a big country. The jihadis are a relatively small number. Now, if you are referring to them, be my guest, no perjorative is too aawful.

We know that there are special ops guys gearing up in Afghanistan...could Musharraf be ready to give up Osama as well?

It is a shame that all of these weapons that America created have gotten out of hand. I bet there are a lot of people who wish we never would have made these weapons. It was foolish to think that we could keep all of this under control. America did not "create" nuclear weapons. Nuclear weapons were created by the fact the Mother Nature made certain elements fissionable.
There comes a point when scientific knowledge reaches a stage that allows certain technologies to become possible. When that stage is reached, it is only a matter of time before the technology in question goes from theory to reality.
Once fission was discovered in 1939, scientific knowledge had reached the stage where the building of a a nuclear weapon by a major world power was possible and therefore inevitable.
If the U.S. had not been the first nation with nuclear weapons, another nation, most likely the Soviet Union, would have been first.
Think about what the world would be like today if the Soviet Union had been the only nuclear power in 1955.

They need to line these nuke scientists from these third rate countries and have them walk off a gang plank into the nearest active volcano.

Think about what the world would be like today if the Soviet Union had been the only nuclear power in 1955. I believe that only by the grace of God has that and similar situations been averted.

AP reports: "

Well, well, well. It looks like Musharraf and company (that would be the CIA) convinced Abdul Qadeer Khan, the mastermind of Pakistan's nuclear weapons program and a genuine national hero, that confession is good for the soul!
What do you want to bet Qadeer also offered up the goods on Saudi Arabia's nuclear program, too! Now that Saudi Arabia knows that we have all the intimate details of their nuclear bomb project, that's really got to have the Saudi family crapping in their collective drawers in Riyadh tonight!
