I'm with I_love_weather. It was an accident. That poor girl looked shocked at what happened. My heart, as a woman, goes out to her.

Had it been Madonna or Britney, I would totally agree with the outrage because they are 2 brazen, embarrassing sluts but Janet Jackson has always had a little more decorum.

I love FR but I'm really sad to see this because few people are even giving her the benefit of the doubt. Let's wait & see at least.

Yes,

I am responding to your posting of Kid Rock and the display of Our Flag. I find it hard to beleive that no one else is talking about the flagrant display of No Regard or Respect for Our Symbol of Freedom. We currently have Men and Women dying for that same symbol right now overseas.

I am OutRaged that people are SO numb to Our standards in this country and the depths that they are sinking to.Sure he has the freedom to do just what he did, but how does that make Our Vets and active service people feel?

It's called "playing with fire." Sometimes you get burned.

If they truly are the professionals they portray themselves to be, then their costume people, knowing the routine, should have specially reinforced her top to prevent what happened. If they made a last-minute change in the routine on their own after rehearsals, then they are not the professionals they claim to be and deserve everything that is coming down on them. Professionals would have stuck to the script knowing that the lighting, camera, and other stage professionals would have been cueing off of them and each other. When one person changes the routine, everybody elses cues get messed up.

That is not the behavior of professional performers.

The NFL is hearing it from the public....the uninformed public. The thing that surprises me about these threads is everyone here already hates CBS. Why the need to hate the NFL too?

Because the NFL is notorious on micromanaging everything in their purview. It's hard to believe that they didn't know what the halftime show was going to be like (and I'm not just talking about the nudity -- the whole show was nauseating.) And also, because of this, from today's Daily News:

http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/story/160822p-141073c.html

Bono and J-Lo wanted to sing a new song they recorded together, "An American Prayer," which highlights the fight against AIDS in Africa. The NFL said "no" to Bono. "We simply decided that we are going to deliver, as we do annually, an extremely entertaining halftime show," an NFL spokesman said at the time. "We don't believe it's appropriate to focus on a single issue." Unless, of course, it is Janet Jackson's star-covered breast.

Like I said "that's what I was told". It's the story going around NASA. A lot of people are talking about it. Since you think this is such a big deal contact the band and tell them that. If the story is wrong they can set it straight.

I'm not "clueless". And I'm not "slandering" anyone. This story IS going around NASA and that's a fact. If you don't like it that's too bad. But feel free to do something about it. If the story is not correct and you think Aerosmith is such a big deal do something about refuting the story.

I heard that a red lace covering was suppose to be left behind, not a naked breast. Nevertheless, no excuse for junky show.

I heard that a red lace covering was suppose to be left behind, not a naked breast.

Then it's real odd that the red lace lining separated cleanly right along with the black bra cup, without leaving so much as a tiny red thread behind to testify to the violence with which it had been so unexpectedly torn away! LOL

I sew. So I can assure you this is crap.

But since most people don't know much about clothing construction, it does provide plausible deniability for all involved.

I'll believe that (maybe) if she slams Timberlake with a sexual assault lawsuit. Most women's instincts would have had them reacting as he reached across and grabbed onto their bra before they ripped it off.

A follow-up to my Aerosmith post.

I chatted with someone else associated with NASA this AM and they saidthat the cocaine/Aerosmith incident happened in building 9A at JSC in one of the men's room. NASA employess walked in on band members snorting cocaine.

Why, why, they claim it was just an accident! Yeah, right. I think the FCC is really ticked off and we'll see something done about it. This is way over the top, even for MTV. If they want to do these kinds of things on their program, it's up to them, but not at the Super Bowl with all these young kids watching. Sleaze.

Maybe you think dirty dancing is okay for kids. I don't. We didn't have television in the early days and so kids were spared seeing this garbage. If adults want to see this stuff, fine. Just don't show it on prime time television. If you can't understand this, you're worse off than I thought.

I agree with wattsup, the man looks and acts like drunken trailer trash. I suppose we shouldn't be surprised that he wouldn't have a clue that his actions were offensive to our country, our basic symbol of freedom and to veterans everywhere. If this is the kind of supporter our current president attracts, he needs to put out a different message or be replaced--soon!

BTW, Justin and Janet were shameful as well. This was a family event. Let them get an hour on MTV, then they can both get naked. I might even watch that.
