Bush, Blair, Koizumi tried in mock war crimes tribunal in Osaka
Sunday, February 1, 2004 at 17:40 JST
OSAKA - Japanese civic groups on Sunday held a mock war crimes tribunal to try the leaders of the United States, Britain and Japan in connection with alleged crimes against Iraq, which is still reeling from the effects of the U.S.-led invasion last year.
About 500 people gathered in a hall in Osaka for the first public hearing in Japan of the International Criminal Tribunal for Iraq, which is being held in various countries. The mock trial is targeted at U.S. President George Bush, British Prime Minister Tony Blair and Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi. (Kyodo News)

have they done a mock trial of the japanese leaders who authorized and implemented a sneak attack on pearl harbor, bringing a neutral party into a war thousands of miles from it's shores with an act of unmitigated aggression?
just one of the little things that tickles my brain.

Isn't it funny that these wackos never do mock trials for Saddam of UBL?
To: ambrose
Have those same "civic" groups given a mock trial of Saddam lately? Had they tried that within Iraq during his reign, those "civic" groups would have vanished into oblivion!

That is scheduled just after the trial for the Rape of Nanking.
Please make a note on your calendar.

Actually, we should forward the Chinese version of that schedule to these groups. Oh, to hear the sound of silence...

Sanctimonous guilt transference seems to be a natural byproduct in wealthy industrialized nations that have guaranteed rights. I don't have an answer for why. I used let these types piss me off, but now I just shrug. If they want to be oblivious to the freedoms they take for granted and can't see the contradiction in sympathizing with those who would not allow them the same freedom, that's their problem. Funny how most of these types, such as the Cuban apologists in our country, never actually consider moving to the places they champion. Age and the trials of life will wise most of them up eventually. Hopefully, it won't take a horrific violation of their life and liberty to do so. Others are destined to remain lifelong fools.

Remind me again why I'm supposed to care about what these...people(I don't want to get banned) say and/or do?
