CONSERVATIVES, LET US COME TOGETHER AGAINST LIBERALISM (vanity)
1/30/2003 | Jaysun

Posted on 01/30/2004 10:59:43 AM PST by Jaysun

The destructive liberal agenda has created a plentiful harvest of problems. We see daily examples of what their ideas are doing to destroy America. We've reached the cliff in American society. We have to choose between jumping to our deaths and saving ourselves. Many of us would like to do more to stop their socialist anti-American agenda, but aren't sure where to start. There are so many important issues out there that it's difficult to make gains in any them. Solving that problem is the purpose of this thread.

We should join together with like-minded individuals to battle the problems that are most important to us. I propose that we come together here to identify those people who are similarly passionate about different issues. Comment on whatever subject you'd like to see changed (or not changed). Everything from abortion, gun control, public schools, the UN, or anything else. It would be helpful for several people that have studied a particular subject to come together and share ideas. I'll then help you "group together" and alert you all to a common thread from which you can meet and take action. I'll also direct new posters that share your interest to your group. If you are interested in lower taxes (for example) you can talk with others that also share that interest and plan action. For each topic, a group can send out press releases, call talk shows, identify news articles on the subject, start petitions, call and write representatives, and so on. If we work together, even if it's in small groups, we can make a difference.

It doesn't take a lot of people to make a difference. Look at all of the things in our country that have been done by just a handfull of liberals! Indeed one man sued on behalf of his daughter to have "under God" removed from the pledge. A small group of parents in New York got prayer yanked from schools. Let us come together and bring about change.

What do you think?

We keep waiting long enough, Bush will make everything right???? I dont think so. We have a pub congress and prez and we are hellbent into socialism. You are sounding a clarion call to vote for Bush nothing else.

Did you not read my post? The socialism that they are hellbent on continuing is exactly what I propose that we attack. I never mentioned the President. Your claim that I am "sounding a clarion call to vote for Bush nothing else" is misguided.

there's a LOT of people on this site who are strongly opposed to the "assault weapon" ban. Posts on that have gotten over 1000. If FR or you could organize a way to have thousands of people email/call the WH on the same day, that's a great idea.

Against liberalism and against compromise with liberalism from within our own ranks? That would be a battle worth fighting. To simply ignore it when it is a cancer eating away at ourselves and we choose to ignore it, we earn our own defeat. We have to fight it wherever it appears, whether in Democrats OR Republicans.

YES! I never said that Republicans are or have been immune to liberalism. If someone is against big government, for example, it should make no difference if that big government is composed of Republicans or Democrats - only that it's too big. If you have a particular gripe with a liberal issue, tell us. We'll get started.

I do that already, you can never have to many eyes out there.

Agreed. I guess that what I'm looking for is some specific issues that people can rally around.

The only way we can save our country is to get the government out of the family, children, and education business.

This is the main way to destabilize a country. Destroy families.

I think that if Bush continues to go to the left... by 2008 there will be a 3rd party...Christian conservatives will have to break away from Republicans.

If true, then our country will have no chance of ever having a conservative, or even somewhat conservative agenda ever again. A split among the Republicans would end this country. Show me one multi-party country in this world that has a ruling conservative party.

As a Christian, I know that a split with the Republican ranks would be the worst possible fate for the United States, and a victory for those who believe we answer to the UN.

I agree 100%! Are any of the demonrat toads going to do a better job on national security, defense spending, cutting taxes or being pro business? I think not.

Then we need to make sure when we vote in a "Republican" that he continues to stand for our beliefs...sleeping with the enemy is not my style. Believe it or not I do have faith in Bush but I am doing some heavy praying for his decisions. That he hears Gods voice the loudest not Andy Carrs......

good thread. you'll find that many on this site are more happy complaining, from their viewpoint of 100% conservative purity, rather than writing, calling, etc. It's a lot easier to complain that in is to say, I'm going to work to make a difference.

Perhaps, but you know what they say, "Rome wasn't built in a day." Someone had to lay the first stone. It doesn't take a lot of people to bring about change. We simply need a few "zealots" for each category......and I'm confident that there are some "zealots" out there. :o)

I believe that the Republican Party has become to liberal and that a third party (Libertarian Party) needs to replace the Republicans. Government is not the answer to social "problems." A nationwide libertarian fight is needed to kick socialism out of the US.

Already been done. There are thousands of them. They make a lot of money by soliciting contributions and selling/renting mailing lists.

I'm not talking about forming new organizations. I Simply want people to be able to "rally the troops" on the specific issues that are important to them.

First of all, liberalism is not the problem, various leftist agendas are the problem. Liberals are basicly sheeple with no deep understanding of the issues.

Second, I would suggest that we use the issue of the judiciary memos as a rallying point for conservatives. It is the one issue that everyone could agree on and demand support from Frist and Hatch. I have already asked for support from Pennsylvania posters in bringing Arlen Specter into focus on this issue. He is due to take over the judiciary committee this year and I think his input is important since he is facing a primary challenge from a more conservative candidate.

Jaysun, I totally agree with you. The reason liberalism has taken a hold in US politics is that throughout the 1990s, liberals formed these small tight knit group that you are proposing conservatives should do. This "grassroots" proposal is needed to stamp out liberalism in America.

That is precisely what I'm talking about! Do you want to be the "go to" guy and host a thread and ping list for the group of people that hate the assault weapons ban?
