Yawn Crash & Kerry is just an old angry anti-war hippy! Give him a chance and we will see more of these Dr Deamento minutes from Yaaaawn. If he were President on 9/11 he would have blamed the Right Wing groups......just like Oklahoma! These people are traitorous and have no business protecting our country. Yaaaaawn bring it on!

No, you are wrong. NYC is chuck full of liberal who would agree with this, as insane as it sounds. I live here, I know. This is what many liberals really think. They believe that the WOT is a marketing gimmick thought up by the GOP.
Of course, in the next sentence they will say "But where is OBL?" and "Iraq did not make the country safer." They are not really rational people.

Unfreakingbelievable. Thanks for the ping. (This just confirms my conclusion - we do not want this man to have a White House rest room key, let alone sit in the Oval Office.)

You're welcome. By the way, I mean absolutely no disrespect or resentment to our contemporary Japanese allies. As our enemies they earned our respect and fear, and now by joining us in Iraq, and standing with us against the DPRK they are proving their value in an indefeatable league.
But 62 years ago only a traitor would have said that they were anything less than a supreme threat to our sovereignty and our freedom.

Oh, that was understood. In many ways, they were a similar enemy. Their culture has changed tremendously since the 1940's.

I suspect that at least while you and I are alive, and while we have the blood of our forebears coursing through our veins, we will not rest until this current enemy is begging us to leave them in peace, as well. Otherwise, I am not eligible to call myself the son and nephew of the warriors who defeated that other scourge. These "terrorists" do not yet know the meaning of the word. They shall learn.

Kerry says threat of terrorism is exaggerated
You know the irony to this situation is like a Greek Tragedy where if a pro-illegal-immigrant politican wins the election this year, with in two or three years from now a foreign terrorest (might be muslim or MECHA) might use a nuke on NYC or DC.
And those who live outside of these cities, having been burned by government for so long (decades), could care less.
To: Paleo Conservative
The threat of Kerry having an original thought is what is exaggerated!

"I think there has been an exaggeration," Mr. Kerry said when asked whether President Bush has overstated the threat of terrorism. "They are misleading all Americans in a profound way." The front-runner for the Democratic nomination said he would engage other nations in a more cooperative fashion to quell terrorism.
The 2004 Neville Chamberlain Award goes to .......
This was the stupid, stupid remark that the GOP has been waiting for, every good news person will refer to the remark often. and now Kerry cannot gripe about not finding Usama because it is all a deception anyway.
Let's say that the terror alert level is raised, Kerry will immediately be asked whether this move is misleading all Americans in a profound way. What could Kerry say?
If some terrorist act is stopped, The President will be a hero and Kerry a dangerous Moron. If a terrorist act takes place The President will be a person who cared and tried to protect his country and Kerry a dangerous idiot who has no grounds to say Bush didn't do enough.
With Kerry as the nominee terrorism and Homeland Security are poisonous subjects for the democrats.

"I will make America safer than they are."
Does anyone else find it odd that Kerry referred to Americans as "they"?
I can't quite put my finger on it, but something seems amiss. I guess I just wouldn't want my president to refer to Americans as "they."

Exactly. I wonder if he would mind repeating that statement in front of an audience of the families of 9-11 victims. If he dared, I doubt he'd make it out alive.

"NBC anchorman Tom Brokaw moderated the debate, sponsored by the Young Democrats of Furman University and held in the university's Peace Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Greenville."
Furman University owns the Peace Center For the Performing Arts ?!? That is news to this Greenville resident. Furman University was bypassed as the original site, because the University is in Greenville County. Someone told me the City of Greenville is in Greenville County too...but I guess that is different. sarcasm off
