LET'S GO to the videotape. Oh no, let's not go to the videotape. The best news out of the New Hampshire primary may be that we can now drive a stake in the heart of the videotape.
In the first four days after Iowa, the 15 seconds of Dean's primal scream was played 633 times. I'm no Deaniac, but I began to think it was a media plot to turn Dr. Dean into Dr. Strangelove. And I am the media, or some particle thereof.

"The good news is that we now have a range of models for political wifedom. The bad news is that every choice becomes a target for sniping." I might have to do some research, but I don't recall Goodman defending Nancy Reagan against unfair personal attacks.

I saw the Diane Sawyer interview, and I thought Judy Dean was charming - she'd be rather plain-looking, except that she has a beautiful smile that she regularly displays.
With that smile - I wish she were MY doctor!

Can't help thinking that by rejecting Howard Dean, voters are doing Judith Steinburg a real favor!

I never understood why people were going after Mrs. Dean. Jeez, if she doesn't want to get out there in the shark tank of the campaign trail, if she wants to stay home and see her patients and run her practice, that's her right. That's between her and Howard the Duck.
Instead, she got torn apart by the people who expect every political spouse to be Hillary Machiavelli. I mean, I don't want Howard the Duck to be my President, but I'll give him a point for at least picking a wife that seems to be stable and reasonably normal.

Radical Commielib Goodman glosses over the biggest liability on the campaign trail today..... Ketchup Kerry's loudmoutherd arrogant harpie of a wife. I'm sure his strategists are desperately trying to find a way to shut her up.

Thats because it was. I'm of the opinion that the media turned on Dean because they saw he couldn't win.

I even heard Geraldine Ferraro opining in a most disapproving way of Dr. Steinberg. What nerve!!

Hey Ellen, who was the biggest voice interrogating Judy Dean about her life choices? It was a woman, Diane Sawyer. Funny how you didn't comment on that!
