Anyone who believes that Arafat is not encouraged by visitors
who visit as he systematically murders innocent is deluded.
Since your response attacks me in ad hominem that must include you, AAABEST.

May the G-d of Israel grant comfort to all those who mourn and full healing to all those who are injured. May He who inhabits the heavens defend his name that He has associated with is people.

"When the Israeli goverment tells them to bomb empty buildings, the soldiers tell them to go to hell.
When the Israeli goverment tells them to fight a half way war. The Israeli soldiers tell them to take a hike."
How would you suggest that the US deal with insubordinate US troops? Bad advice IMO. What's missing is leadership.

Maybe I should have been a little clearer and said he was the "Voice of the PLO, Brought to You Live Every Day from the Church of the Nativity" in 2002.
There's no question whose side he is on. It isn't Israel's.

Also, this jackass does NOT represent Roman Catholics. I resent the attempted implication that he does.
Feel free to keep feeling resentful then. He actually represents every Roman Catholic in Jerusalem, in fact he is the highest ranking Church leader in the Holy Land... at least according to the Vatican. And you wouldn't disagree with the Vatican, would you?

"so that I and other Catholics judge him accordingly"
That is the most bizarre statement in this thread. I didn't hear God appointing you and other catholics judge over anyone and certainly don't believe that he ever would.

Well he doesn't represent the Burke name well at all.
And according to some legends the Burkes are descendants of the lost tribes. They came to Ireland as nobles with William the Conqueror from Normandy and became Irish-ized. That fierce adaptation -- becoming more Irish than the Irish themselves -- is itself a clue that the Burkes may at some point been other than French-Normans too.

That is so twisted. How does anyone turn around thinking like this? Thinking that these terrorists are heroes and "bathing" in their blood.

"Also, this jackass does NOT represent Roman Catholics. I resent the attempted implication that he does."
I guess that's why he has the freaking keys to the church of the the nativity?
http://www.episcopalpeacefellowship.org/David0406.htm At the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem, there are between 100 and 250 men, women, and children inside seeking sanctuary. The Latin Patriarch, Michael Sabbah, granted them asylum, but the Israeli government claims they are all terrorists.

http://www.findarticles.com/cf_dls/m1141/29_38/87210383/p1/article.jhtml Bethlehem standoff exposed weaknesses of Vatican diplomacy. (World).(Middle East peace)(Brief Article)
National Catholic Reporter, May 24, 2002, by John L. Allen, Jr.
Church leaders on the ground, especially the Latin Rite Patriarch Michael Sabbah and the Franciscan friars who serve as custodians of the holy sites, tend to identify strongly with the Palestinian cause.
Sabbah, for example, has insisted that the "root cause" of violence is the Israeli occupation. In an article published May 10, he repeated the point: "As long as there is occupation, the cycle of violence will continue," Sabbah wrote.
Some senior officials in the Vatican back this view. Coverage of the Bethlehem crisis in L'Osservatore Romano, for example, the official Vatican newspaper, tended to be strongly anti-Israeli. An April 2 article denounced Israel's "aggression that is tantamount to extermination," asserting that its military was "profaning the holy sites with iron and fire."

http://moise.sefarad.org/belsef.php/id/707/ Earlier this week, Palestinians included Latin Patriarch Michel Sabbah as one of their negotiators, an idea rejected by church representatives and by Israel, who both want just laymen involved in talks. Earlier, Sabbah had stated the gunmen had entered the church with his permission, a claim rejected by other Roman Catholic spokesmen.

http://www.islamonline.net/english/news/2002-12/24/article12.shtml The Latin Patriarch Michel Sabbah traveled in procession to Bethlehem later in the day accompanied by mounted Palestinian guards at a checkpoint on the edge of the town.
Hundreds of people gathered to greet him and escort him to the Church of the Nativity along the route alleged taken by the Virgin Mary, with children in Santa Claus hats and adults holding banners reading: Curfew Equals Detention Camp, and: End the occupation.
-
http://www.cnn.com/2002/WORLD/meast/04/03/mideast.mililtary/ Col. Miri Eisine of the Israeli military told CNN Wednesday there were "armed terrorists" in the church. She said Palestinian statements that Israelis were keeping them inside were untrue; the IDF, she said, wants them to put down their arms and let everyone inside come out. (Full interview)
Michel Sabbah, the Latin patriarch of Jerusalem, said the Palestinian security officers surrendered their weapons before entering and were now under the protection of the church.

Someone who asks you to document (which you can't seem to do)possible slander or calumny is deluded? Hmm. You like to make it up as you go I see.
And by the way, what is a "Latin Patriarch"? I didn't know that there was any country called "Latin".
You're flushing your credibility down the toilet. Are you this wreckless with the truth on those "you gotta see this threads"? If so you should ping people to threads like this one for disclosure purposes.

" American Envoys to Israel have told Ariel Sharon that the "Prime Minister" of the Palestinian Autority terror regime is willing to meet with Sharon immediately. " Tell Arafat to be at the front gate of Netanya prison in 1 hour. The Prime Minister be there to supply him with bedding.

That is the most bizarre statement in this thread. I didn't hear God appointing you and other catholics judge over anyone and certainly don't believe that he ever would. Oh please. I'm not talking about judging his soul, simply judging his character. If a priest is encouraging murder of Jews and Americans yes we should judge him.
Do need this explained to you n00b, or are you just trying to waste my time?
If you don't make value judgements when someone is complicit in murder, then your mind is completely empty, which is quite possible given your inane post.

This is the result of the insane "prisoner exchange."
Prayers for the families.
My son is in the IDF and my daughter is moving to Israel (Safed) in 3 weeks.
The Israelis should just drop a daisy cutter on the celebrations in Gaza and Ramallah.
FRmail me to be added or removed from this pro-Israel ping list.

I'd also like to correct dennisw, and say he DOES have blood on his hands. You were way too charitable when you said he didn't den.

It is true.
The Catholic Church has some fine members and some total morons, much like any other organization.
Unfortunately, the total morons tend to rise to the top. Must be their fondness for "cream." The cream rises to the top, after all. bleh.

I always pray for the victims and I pray for the people who are being used by satan and his minions all over the world.
Lord God Almighty; Thou Who Art before the beginning and beyond the end. Heavenly Father strengthen and comfort those who are being attacked. Remove the callous of hatred that has grown on the hearts and minds of those attacking. I pray for the peace of the soul that can only come from understanding and obeying your will. May your Holy Spirit guide us all and strengthen us to withstand the evils of the world.
Through Jesus Christ our intercessor I pary.
Amen!
