Is there any chance Drudge would reconsider and put the link back?

The truth is, there are many statist liberals and conservatives who are addicted to the War on Drugs. Leave it to big government to take a serious social problem and make it worse.
Many liberals were initially skeptical of the War on Drugs, until they discovered the incredible power and takings possible -- corrupt officials can order hits on innocent people under cover of the WOD, and the property confiscating feature without due process is a socialist's dream. Besides, drug laws, like gun laws, were never meant for the Hollywood elites and leftist politicians.
Conservatives correctly deplore the damage caused by the amoral drug culture, but many are led to react to the problem in emotional terms -- just like the liberals. So when an enterprising socialist proposes a WOD measure that will further erode Fourth Amendment rights (after all, it is "only" property and "privacy" only matters to a liberal if it somehow involves abortion), the socialist only has to coo "if you don't have anything to hide, you don't have anything to fear" and this will whip many "conservatives" into line. Since some conservatives accept the same socialist premise of the liberals, they cannot complain even when a conservative is railroaded for political reasons.
When people are in reactive mode and/or have hidden agendas, the statists manipulate the system and win. If you suggest that the system is broken and corrupt, many liberals will say you don't care about post-abortion-age children, and many conservatives will call you a "druggie." To the statist, if you think there may be no perfect WOD solution, you are in favor of giving children cocaine, just like if you are against raising the minimum wage to $100 per hour you are in favor of making poor people starve.

They arent going to charge Rush, they are just going to attack him and try to slander him. It is doubtful that it will really hurt him though because most people either love him or hate him there isnt really any middle ground so to speak. This is really turning into a non-story except to point out that you cant trust police officers to do the right thing they are just as corrupt as the lawyers they work with!

Most of the time it is used to cause the thread to appear in your "posts to you" function so you can find it later and read it then.

Now that FR is closely moderated, Drudge should put the link back. Maybe we should start a correspondence campaign to encourage him to do so.

Did anyone really expect the media to come to his defense?
I have only heard Sean Hannity come to his defense, and while it is possible that there have been others, none come to mind.
Most media people are jealous of his success, and are probably hoping that he is taken out of the picture, so that they can have his #1 spot!

Dickie Morris was floating Hillary as Kerry's VP tonight, I nearly fell over laughing.
I hope Kerry's insurance is paid up. And .. somebody tell him not to get on any airplane if she's not on it with him.

I don't know what she brings to the ticket that he won't get any way. Both are liberals and draw on the Northeast for support. She's the world's smartest women, granted, but is that likely to balance the ticket since he already gets the femnist vote? Interesting.

You asked about the Democrat Reno's prior life of a SA:
She was a prosecutor in then Dade (now Miami-Dade to satisfy the ego of Democrat Alex Pinelas who was upset nobody knew Dade county. An insult to the late Col. Dade.)
During her tenure, scandles dominated the police department and jeopardized their cases. She left the office one big mess.
One should also keep in mind that prosecutors are not like TV prosecutors. Once a case is filed, prosecutor are very limited in their options. (if a DUI case is obviously flawed an should be dropped, the hapless prosecutor can do much. They can plea it for minimums or try it, to even consider dropping it requires extensive memos and the approval of supervisors. This is all circuits)
Many jobs are crony jobs. Since the prosecutor is an elected position, the Assitant SA jobs are dependant on the SA keeping his job. No matter how you slice it, it is a government job.
Don't even start on the near sleazy fundraising tactics of courthouse public service.

Thanks for the link- I'll use it. I've said from the start that this dust-up about Rush is a Witch Hunt, and nothing I've seen so far has changed that.
The Left is trying to silence one of the most effective voices against them.
No more, no less.

Well .. personally I think Hillary running as VP is a stupid idea. The reason is .. the moment she is announced as the VP, the groundswell of conservatives will emerge from hiding and figuratively pound her into the ground. None of us are willing to take any chances she can get one foot into the White House.
And .. I predict the trouncing will be so devastating that if she decides to run for re-election in 2006 .. she will lose her senate seat just from the leftover momentum!!

I like Rush and have been following him since the late '80's, but geez, lately it's been all Democrat, all day, everyday. While I'm thoroughly disgusted with Dubya's betrayal of conservatives, I know he's going to win in an electoral landslide. So, why does Rush waste so much air-time analyzing the dimwit Democrat candidates? Rush calls himself a conservative first, then a Republican, but why doesn't he spend more time trying to steer Bush in the right (conservative) direction instead of using his show to e deflect for Bush? Sheesh, if Republicans had passed all of the socialism for Clinton that they've agreed to with Bush, Rush would've had an aneurysm by now.

In addition to Hannity, you've got Joe Scarborough, Rusty Humphries, and Michael Savage (Savage early on anyway, but he doesn't talk about it much anymore).
But I've heard more joking about it from Imus the ass and the late night nuts.....
