Therefore, anyone who votes against President Bush this fall has on their hands the blood of all those Americans who die thereafter Are you a person?? Do you a mind?? You can not seriously blame terrorist attacks on everyone who voted against your candidates.... are you Wes Clark??

Thats not the point. The point is that Bush is even considering increasing funding at all.
Remember the old saying, a million here, a million there and pretty soon your talking real money.
It all adds up. I don't care what the budget is for National Endowment, any increase is too much for me.

The Federal Government spent hundreds of millions on propaganda during World War 2.

and when the AWB is renewed, it will be called a brilliant move to preempt the left from passing something more drastic. and supporting CFR was a brilliant tactic, too. Just wait for the dividends of the it's-not-amnesty amnesty.

Thanks. I was just looking it up myself. It looks like it's gonna be just under 130 million for 2004.
A mere drop in the bucket!! ;-)

If this is true, I have lost all faith in Bush. I'll probably end up voting for whoever the Constitution party nominates.Michael Peroutka is currently the party's designated "provisional" Presidential candidate for 2004. Party founder and three-time Presidential nominee Howard Phillips has already endorsed Peroutka for the nomination.

Any vote cast for someone other than George Walker Bush next November is a vote for more Americans to die in terrorist attacks. Therefore, anyone who casts such a vote is, to some extent, morally culpable.

Therefore, anyone who votes against President Bush this fall has on their hands the blood of all those Americans who die thereafter- because they could have voted for the one man in the race who could win and kill the terrorists, but did not as a result of their own stupidity. You go too far, sir. If the Drudge blurb is true and if Bush increases the NEA's funding, then he should and will answer for it. There is NO excuse for spending and wasting federal money like this. To claim that posters here "have blood on their hands" because they oppose such a profligate waste of taxpayer dollars is a despicable thing to say.

I am unhappy about this however - if he reduces it or tries to eliminate it, he hands a weapon to the liberals to attack him. It costs the taxpayer more money, however the RATS won't object, and they can't attack. They have to do it with some other issue. Now however, if they keep up the rabid attacks about the "daficit" President Bush can always propose cutting things like the National Endowment of the Arts, and a few other sacred cows.

What does his impeachment have to do with the implementation
of Dick Morris' triangulation strategy?
Co-opting GOP issues (welfare reform, for example) helped
him win elections.
To: Johnny_Cipher
I never said people opposing it were culpable- people voting against Bush because of it, however, have a moral responsibiliy for every American who dies thereafter in a terrorist attack.

CFR was stupid. Stunningly stupid.
I am ambivalent on the AWB. It doesn't strike me as important in either way (and yes, I know that is a sacrelege to some but so be it) and in most other ways Bush has been excellent on guns.

It's called "triangulation". Worked like a charm for Clinton. ME no like...bad JUJU.

Look, we've got to win the bloody election before anything else can be done. Can't you see that?Bush won the "bloody" election in 2000 and has worked to increase the size and spending of the federal government to a size larger than any conservative could ever imagine. He has done a great job of making the idea of "limited government" nothing more than an idea.
