Because I don't want to end it- I want to use it for conservative ends.
I'm not opposed to 'government' I'm opposed to left-wing government.

Where in the Constitution can I find the authorization for this type of spending? NEA, midnight basketball, and sending U.S. money to third world nations for AIDS research. Is all this really what the Feeral Gov't is supposed to be funding?

Congratulations. You win the Bushbot of the Week award.

Are you serious? Take a few deep breaths and rethink that. I'm no fan of this big spending nonsense going on but lets not all get Ross Perot crazy all of the sudden.

Well, let's face it: we're losing on the social issues anyways.
A life Amendment will never be passed. If the FMA isn't passed in the next year or two, it will never be passed either. We have to live in reality.
Frankly, Rudy for President might not be so bad.

Some of you reactionary types are incapable of thinking and Drudge puts up a headline and you go off on your tangents like a bunch of elementary kids that hear a rumor! Exactly like the bush amnesty, right?

Did Toby Keith need a paycheck from Uncle Sam to write his music?
What kind of conservative are you that you think it's okay to steal my taxpayer money for something the market provides anyway? Sounds like you may be looking at the wrong party...

Stack it with neo-conservative luminaries, and only approve patriotic art and films. You wouldn't be O_P_H/C.P., would ya? Same tiresome drumbeat.

FYI
According to its Financial Summary for FY 2002, the National Endowment of the Arts received almost a $100 million dollars from the Federal Government.

"But they say: just wait ANOTHER year! By golly, NEXT term he will REALLY be a conservative! When there's ENOUGH Republicans in Congress! Just another term,...."
It could get to the point of 'tough love'. There has to be a limit of what one will tolerate - even from those you really care about and love the most.
It will be interesting to see what happens. Hopefully it won't be a lesson our party will regret.

If the story is accurate, then the rumors that Bush has gotten the message that his base has had it with the spending are completely unfounded.
Stunningly stupid.

Let me guess - you want Condi Rice to run for POTUS in '08 right?

Hello, my name is George W. Bush, and I have a spending problem.
To: HostileTerritory
Alas, Toby Keith is the exception, not the rule.
Frankly, if it were up to me, I'd spend a billion dollars on patriotic propaganda and use it to fund, release, and distribute a number of pro-American movies.

I thought we were at war? And our very survival is at stake. Every time I hear that we don't have enough resources to defend our borders my molars start grinding. Are you aware that the Federal Government has allocated a whopping 2,000 employees to manage border security? What, we can't AFFORD MORE? Yet we can afford to increase expenditures for every f*ing nonsensical liberal program imaginable? Folks, we are being sold out by these charlatan whore politicians (GW et. al. included).

http://www.peroutka2004.comI agree with you. However, I am still going to vote for Bush for president.... Constitution Party everything else.
To: Pubbie
Oh, lord no.
Hell, Rudy isn't even my first choice for 2008. My first choice would be Newt Gingrich.
