The Beneficiaries of Saddam's Oil Vouchers ^

The following report from MEMRI's Baghdad office is a translation of an article which appeared in the Iraqi daily Al-Mada,(1) which obtained lists of 270 companies, organizations, and individuals awarded allocations (vouchers) of crude oil by Saddam Hussein's regime. The beneficiaries reside in 50 countries: 16 Arab, 17 European, 9 Asian, and the rest from sub-Saharan Africa and Latin America. Only a portion of the 270 recipients are listed and identified.

Here's the gist of this report...the lies about NO WMD's will be taken as FACT while this stuff will be taken as "yawn, who cares?"
And all the while, Kerry and the rest of the light-weights will continue to think we need those on the list of 270 to have a "true coaltion", etc.
What crap.
I'm tired of living with morons.

Remember last year when we couldn't get most Freepers even interested in the outrages that we had discovered in the Oil for Food Program?
This is going to get even better when the blacked out names are known.
Just follow the money of the Opecker Princes and Thugs like the $oddomite, and we gain a better understanding of the left wingers around the world and here.

Its not a question of whether MEMRI is credible, but of the credibility of the documents the Iraqi newspaper is using. MEMRI is just a translation service.
It all sounds very plausible, I hope some official investigation is underway.

Names on the list cross-referenced with some international big players should be interesting.

Quite a revelation, perhaps more of a confirmation of my suspicions. So this is how the embargo game was played. The whole leftist global coterie flocking to Saddam's free oil coupons like flies to $hit. This ought to send shock waves through the press, but they will ho-hum it, just like all previous confirmations of the manifest evil that we, the USA, are in the process of destroying. O'Reilly/FOX will probably give it some attention, but will any major political figure (R or D) have the nerve to take Russia, et al, to task? Will the UN be angry and ashamed that its 'give sanctions time to work' slogan was just a pathetic joke? Nope, they won't.

It all sounds very plausible, I hope some official investigation is underway. Oh, it'll be investigated alright. Thanks to the CLEAN BREAK with the despotic past facilitated by the United States military and it's allies, it ain't gonna be like Russia or other places were politicos and elites motivated to bury their sordid history remain in power.
The Iraqis are and will be very interested in thoroughly examining their own recent history. Advocating and advancing such investigations will be an important means for many in the new crop of Iraqi politicians and intelligentsia to gain legitimacy or prestige. There will be tremendous energy devoted to sorting this all out.
"Certain people" should be, and doubtless are, very afraid of a new Iraq full of free and inquisitive citizens.

"Oilexco is the only Canadian company, and one of two in North America, with contracts to buy Iraqi oil, he says." Could it be that the second is *GASP* based in the USA and, none the less, in *GASP* Houston? Great find!

Shakir Al-Khafaji accompanied Bonior and McDermott to Baghdad. He is also the person who gave Scott Ritter at least $400,000 to make a documentary.Whoa...
This is gonna get good...

Thanks X for the ping.
Like the U.S. borders, this needs to be posted on every headline, billboard, telephone pole, and shouted over and over, until "we" finally get it.
