Thank God the Godless Islamics never visit the Internet, and this information will remain safe.

I'm sure plans for all sorts of things are made all the time. Why is this one being leaked ?

dis-info.

bin-Laden is dead. It serves A-Q's purposes (build the "holy warrior" mystique) to manipulate us into believing he's alive.

The problem is, we're only 98% certain he's dead. If we announce he's dead, and then he "arises from the dead", it would be a colossal PR catastrophe for the US. So lacking absolute certainty, it is also in our interest to, on a low level, suggest that he may well be getting dialysis through a Coke bottle in a cave.

U.S. military offensive that would reach inside Pakistan with the goal of destroying Osama bin Laden's Al Qaeda network.

That was pretty much the idea from the get-go, no?

"The sources spoke on the condition they not be identified. "

----because if they were identified, it would mean 25 years of misery in the Fort Leavenworth dungeon.

One more telling paragraph from the article:

Referred to in internal Pentagon messages as the "spring offensive," the operation would be driven by certain undisclosed events in Pakistan and across the region, sources said. A source familiar with details of the plan said this is "not like a contingency plan for North Korea, something that sits on a shelf. This planning is like planning for Iraq. They want this plan to be executable, now."

Pre-emptive flush of the fainthearted.

Note to Osama: Get out of Paki as soon as you can gas up your camel.

What a bunch of whiners! Does it ever occur to anyone that somebody seems to know what he's doing out there, given our tremendous success in the War on Terror?

I had a dream last night that Bin Laden was captured. If it comes true then I'm going to be really p/oed that THIS out of all my dreams is the one that comes true!

Stratfor wrote about this in a Jan 21st piece. They peg the date as Spring 2005 for a final assault in Afghanistan and Pakistan to clean out the Al Qaeda rat holes.

And why are we advertizing this to the enemy. Oh! Ok I know, but I will not tell a soul. Hope the scums take the bait.

Should've never called off the campaign in Spring 2002 allowing jihadis to escape, shelter and resume their attacks from Pakistan.

Get the action started before the election, Georgie. Good plan. Because if you happen to lose in November, at least your successor will not so easily be able to let al-Qaeda off the hook, as he will no doubt be wont to do, if American troops are hunting jihadis in the mountains of Pakistan.

When it comes to terrorists, the democrats believe that we should do what Clinton did and get a strong grip on the situation. Is there a sink nearby?
