NEW YORK (AP) -- Barbra Streisand is reading the script for "Meet the Fockers," the sequel to 2000's "Meet the Parents," her husband, James Brolin, said in an interview on the syndicated "Access Hollywood" entertainment TV show. "I know she is reading it," said Brolin, in an interview to air Monday. Excerpts were released in advance.
Streisand's participation as Ben Stiller's mother would mark a return to film for the 61-year-old singer-actress after an eight-year hiatus. She starred in 1996's "The Mirror Has Two Faces."
"Meet the Parents" starred Stiller as Greg Focker, Teri Polo as Stiller's fiancee, and Robert De Niro and Blythe Danner as Polo's parents. They are slated to return for the sequel.

What a great way to ruin a potentially-funny movie.

oboy yet another movie to ignore.
I can't watch anything involving her or her husband anymore. (years and years now.)

No kidding......me neither. I boycott Streisand and Woody Allen on principle. My cousin and his wife forced me to sit through
Annie Hall, which they rented just for me -- they thought I was being narrow and Red-state mumpish, I guess. And that was after we all found out he was diddling kids. I haven't quite forgiven them for that, but then I owe them a few myself.
What is it about New York, anyway, that Leftists all adore it? To the exclusion of rights and liberties?
But I can proudly say that I haven't yet seen Prince of Tides, and I hope to be safely dead before I do.

I think the left likes NY because of the dependence of government infrastructure. There is no place for any skills that are derived from suviving along in rural areas.
Its all living one on top of the other. Even real property rights are limited and controlled.

oooohhh..... maybe she'll be cast as the ashes of a dead aunt in the vase on the mantle.

They should cast John Fokken Kerry.
To: FutureMarine
Ol' BS would be more appropriately cast as JERRY Stiller's mother.

Don't get mad, get even.
Rent Where Eagles Dare, and make **them** sit through that (ripping good story, btw, but, I daresay, NOT their favourite...heh heh heh)

They should cast John Fokken Kerry.
As Streisand's on-screen husband, you mean?
Could be interesting... at least to see how many people didn't barf/pass out/walk out during the test screenings.

I know... it's almost too good, isn't it.

How unpicturesque. The site of that yellowed hagfish could make a necropheliac lose his lunch. Why would anyone go to see her unless made to do so by gunpoint?

Babs as "Mother Focker"? No further comment is necessary...
Except perhaps, she'd probably be more believable as "Grandma Focker".

BABS StrivingNTheSand
is . . . . . READING????
How amazing.
I'm shocked, simply shocked that she could manage to take her eyes
of her red tainted mirror.
. . . . or her face off the floor from bowing in worship at the triple altars of vanity, arrogance and political insanity.
