Not likely. Someone is sure to not be happy, and it's not likely to be the last we hear of this site

Nevertheless, it's down for now.

This site, which we still are not naming, was the subject of a previous report regarding detailed instructions on how to use agricultural chemicals as weapons, among other things. One of the arguments made for leaving such a site online is that the information presented there can be found "anywhere." And day after day, download after download, that prophesy fulfills itself. Recording the IP address of everyone who downloaded those instructions does little or nothing to make the world a safer place. Instead, each person who downloads the instructions becomes another 'carrier', able at their discretion to upload the instructions to another site, where the process repeats.

Unless you are sitting behind some really good firewalls and have very good antivirus software then be careful where you go.

I am serious. These people are hacking and if they can get personal info on you then I don't know what they will do with it. They are using Java programs to do who knows what. And I don't mean to trash your computer...so it must be simply to get information about you. I may be a victim myself. I found evidence that Java web start had been used without my knowledge. And I found files in my root drive with Arabic letters for file names. I am worried quite simply. So please be careful and leave the scary web site searching up to those who are seriously set up for it.

IMO being prepared not only includes a source of power, food, medicine, water, etc., but a way to defend yourself and your supplies. Therefore, to be completely ready, the person prepared for a year would have his/her gun at the looters head.

I don't understand your pique nor offense. But if this or the longer thread offend you, there are myriad others on FR where you'd likely find more comfort and welcome.

As to doing FR good . . . I think this thread is well within the original purposes of FR and certainly does FR and those on the thread a train load of oil tankers and container ships worth of good.
