Post your CPAC reports and pictures HERE!
CPAC this year was fantastic! This year there we had between 60 and 70 Freepers there, and those were just the ones I was able to count.
What was new for this year, was that there was an FR booth; our Canadian Operatives, FREE DOMINION had a booth; the DC chapter had a booth, and the new media operation Rightalk with carries Radio Free Republic had a booth, in addition to broadcasting the whole convention and interviewing top notch conservatives pundits and figures.
The FR booth was filled with pictures from the Rally For America we coordinated earlier in 2003 and also displayed some of Registered's finest work. It is always a tremendous draw for CPAC attendees.
Many kudos go out to our magnificent friends at Free Dominion who are spreading the conservative word up north by organizing their own CPAC.
More kudos go out to Libertina and Firebrand for holding down the FR fort by managing the booth! You guys were fabulous!
I think we have a larger and larger contingent of Freepers at CPAC. One of the best parts of the attending the conference is meeting freepers I "see" on line for the first time. (After I apologized for flaming them, we always hit it off!) I encourage everyone to try and make the trip next year.

Good morning!!!!!
My first CPAC will not be my last, I can assure you of that!!
I'll try and get some pix posted, after I handle the requisite snowball fight with my daughter, although I expected as much, I was not exactly thrilled that school was cancelled today...........

Congratulations. Hope some of the CINO's came away with the fortitude to buck the growing trend of anything Republican is good.

Bush failed in the immigration debate and anything to do with making government smaller....although he is our only real choice he is not a conservative. Hands down his amnesty plan got slammed! Standing ovations for Schafly's rebuttal of the infamous Daniel Griswold from Cato Institute. Griswold attempted to present Bush's plan as "oh, so wonderful", I barely contained a boo or two or three. Malkin and Schafly let loose with some really emotional comments that had the room on their feet. Loud cheering, clapping for anything they had to say. Clearly this was a very hot button issue with all who were there.

Sorry if some of the pics are duplicates, but I made up two groups of pics (for different threads) and realize that some may overlap.
Check your FRmail, dio. ;)

Best part for me was at nine am Saturday morning, when Allen Keyes spoke about what it means to be a conservative. After mentioning God, America and Conservative.......he got a standing ovation -- you have to picture the room.......70% of attendees were college age students. Very encouraging for this country. Although most had Bush stickers and pins, they applauded Keyes and filled the room. He pointed out that the Republican party may be the only game, it is not always conservative. They give me hope.

It was great to be there. I met a lot of good people there and saw some for the first time in two years.
Wayne LaPierre did a great job and blasted McCain/Feingold and told the truth about it.
Ann Coulter was sick, but still spoke anyway. She was great, as usual.
The Ultimate Warrior showed Dean how a battle cry is done.
I met Dave Rogers, Pat Kennedy's opponent as well. Good luck to him.
The 5th Congressional District in NC(Burr's old one) is followed heavily here. Vernon Robinson was there, and spoke about his experience in standing up for the Boy Scouts which were attacked on the City council. (I believe he said he was an Eagle Scout). He speaks his mind and would have my vote.

I probably will be on the cruise!
Next year, there will most likely be a three-fer: FR Inaugural Party/Ball, FR conference, and CPAC. Plans are in the works!
