N.H. Democrat Primary: Are there any suitable 'minor' candidates on the ballot?
January 25, 2004 | FR's Golden Gate

And so it came to pass, that the prophet Samuel went to the DNC and asked to meet with each of the Democrat Presidential candidates. After meeting with each of the candidates, Samuel asked, "Are these all you have? Is there some other?"

We know the names and the proposals of the main Democrat candidates. Are there any 'minor' Democrat candidates on the New Hampshire primary ballot who would represent the principles and values of America?

Is there any 'favorite son' candidate from New Hampshire who is on the Democrat primary ballot?

Your information and comments, please!

That depends on your definition of "suitable". If you are a Democrat, there are about 20 minor candidates (not including Edwards, Lieberman, Kucinich, and Sharpton who are all polling in single digits.) If you are looking for a candidate as a "None of the Above", then any minor candidate will do. If you are looking for a minor candidate who is doing something other than being the New Hampshire equivalent of Mary Cary, I doubt you will find many -- and those you find tend to be seriously flawed like Lyndon Larouche.

If Samuel is looking for another King David, he's looking in the wrong place.
