Where are Freepers at regarding Protest Warriors

I am a journalist and have done stories on counter-protesters. I attended the October 25th FR rally in D.C. and also acompanied the Protest Warriors to the their infiltration.
Most of the Freeper comments I've seen seem to support the PW intention but not the tactics. Why is this? Is it because of potential risk? Is it because of they do not attain permits and are thus not following the law? Is it because you do not want similar tactics employed at your rallies?
I'd appreciate any comments.

I bumped a few people who may be able to answer your questions. I think they are all at CPAC so give it a little time.

I dont mind the infiltration but when they then loudly and publically confront, then it becomes less appealing.
The infiltration and videoing of leftist's actions is legit in my book. Provoking a reaction is not.

I love the Protest Warriors methods and signs.
I know a lot of FReeper guys who love the Protest Warrior's "Belly Girl."
This is the first that I have heard of any discord or criticism from FReepers in regards to PW activities.

I don't mind the PWs at all. I just hope that they have the discipline to follow the rules, get permits if necessary, and generally respect law enforcement.

We do our fighting with logical arguments.
Far more effective than foolish signs.
To: proxy_user
The signs are hilarious, and make a great impression especially when paired with the video footage. They do a great job.

No offense Johnny, but most journalists think Freepers are far Right-wing, gun-loving, Bible-thumping moronic Nazis. Now, while your inquest may be an honest attempt at acquiring info, I can't help feeling a little leery about giving you my opinions. Perhaps if you told us who you are writing for and what the gist of your article is going to be, you'd get more cooperation.

At best, people who are willing to take up ANY cause and actively protest by marching and carrying signs are a very small percentage of the public--and probabaly on the outer fringe of whatever cause they espouse.
I've never understood why a reporter thinks the story is about 10 (or a thousand) protestors when the reality is the milllions who stay at home and probably don't agree or don't care enough to bother.
Protests are made-for-media events to get attention for fringe causes.

Can you give an example of the tactics you are asking about? It would make it easier for some of us to weigh in on if we agree with the tactics or not.
