Former President Ronald Reagan's youngest son, Ron Jr., is writing a commentary "urging the end of the Bush administration," Fox News' Roger Friedman reported today. "Reagan has always been a vocal opponent of his father's political party, but never as much as he is now. He told me he will write an article of undetermined length for Esquire explaining why George W. Bush should not be re-elected."
One reason: Bush's opposition to stem-cell research that destroys human embryos. Critics of the ban say such research could help people suffering from diseases such as Alzheimer's, which has devastated the former president.
"It's unbelievable that Bush doesn't approve stem-cell research," Reagan Jr. said, although the president has in fact supported some research.
And what does he think of Viacom's TV movie about his parents, which CBS refused to air and lobbed over to the cable channel Showtime?
"I saw it on tape," he said. "Someone sent it to me. I think my mother saw some clips from it. It looked to me like a 'Saturday Night Live' sketch.
"I mean, it was just so bad. And who cared? James Brolin did a terrible imitation of my father. Judy Davis is a good actress, but she's not my mother. The problem is that people made such a big deal out of it, but in the end it was nothing."

How did genius manage to skip the Gipper's bio son and go to his adopted son, instead?

And you, Ronnie Jr, are nothing like your father. Now go away and play in your sandbox while the grown-ups run things.

Doesn't he have a dance recital to go to?
Listen Jr., stop leaching off your dad's popularity. No one cares what you think?
If it wasn't for your father, you'd just be another liberal nut in spandex.

He had his 15 minutes of fame. He should shut the hell up now. Well, here they (the media elite) go again. Time to trot little Ronnie out, give him some face time. You are so correct, his 15 minutes is WAY over. I truly feel sorry for President Reagan. As the father of a wayward son myself, I think I can understand a little of his pain. In a way he is fortunate he doesnt know whats going on now. Im sure little Ronnie and Patty gave him much grief over the years.
I agree, Glenn, I wish he would just shut up and go hang out with all his metrosexual friends. Frankly, little Ron, we dont give a damn!

Given this latest outburst, I'm wondering if junior even voted for his dad.

Ron should probably stick to Animal Show commentaries.

Ha! We can play the renegade offspring game too. Too bad FDR's son John Roosevelt isn't around anymore to voice his thoughts on Bush. I'm pretty sure what his opinion would be, given that Franklin's boy was chairman of Citizens for Eisenhower and later campaigned for Nixon and Reagan...

Real men are lining up to read Ronny's article.

Believe me, Little Ron, G-d did not make a world where the unborn need to die to heal the older. If my only medicine were the unborn children of the future, I would choose death. Stem cells are available that are not embryonic. Let's use those.
