One of the libs I argue with says that Clark retired honorably and that there is no evidence to the contrary. The underlying fact is that Clark was called home early from his post in Europe. The cover story was that it was a convenience, because they wanted to give his replacement more time in the job.
Even at the time, though, the explanation was seen as very lame. The move was widely interpreted as a punitive action against Clark, and not done for the advantage of his replacement. In that context, the "ethical problems" theory fits much better.

You know, if I didn't know that was General Clark, I would say it was just another gay guy on the cover of a gay magazine.
I may still be right.

OH. MY. G-D.
DO I WANT MY PRESIDENT DOING THIS?
DEAN II

That's the next cover: shirtless Clark sports nipple ring. One shock at a time should inure all those sweet and tolerant soccer-moms.
Clark's third shocker: appears on Oprah with boyfriend AND girlfriend. All three will cry.

He's on the cover....but is he the CENTERFOLD?!

Or it proves that the Clinton want Bush to win. (Of course either way Clark is and absoute idiot for letting himself get talked into doing this stunt.) This just gets funnier and funnier, better and better. I sure hope Shartopn does well in the South.

"And it's rare, if ever, to see a guy wearing that style undershirt instead of a crewneck in public" In the Air Force V-neck undershirts were all that was allowed with the dress uniform. Could be he has a butt-load of those shirts lying around (no pun intended).

Kinda makes them look like Biblical characters after Mr. Bush's speech last night, no?
And I'm not talking about Job - more along the line of Lot.

I can't believe the Clinton team would think this is a good thing...did they actually look at this photo before it was published?

Kinda makes them look like Biblical characters after Mr. Bush's speech last night, no? My wife and I were discussing last night how American popular culture is not particularly distinguishable from the sorts of behavior one reads about in the Old Testament, just before God wipes some king or city off the map.

That photo of Clark in the Advocate is the legacy of Slick Willie. Is there ANY decorum in politics today or anyone above pandering?
