Immigration critics in Tennessee want to draft Rep. Tom Tancredo as a protest candidate in the upcoming Republican presidential primary, but don't expect the Littleton lawmaker to become their volunteer.
"A lot of people think my politics are crazy, but I'm not delusional. I don't think I'm going to be president of the United States," Tancredo said Tuesday, in response to a new committee, "Tennesseans for Tancredo," touting a write-in candidacy on the Internet.
Some immigration critics are so upset about President Bush's proposal to offer legal status to millions of illegal immigrants that they want to field a protest candidate in Republican presidential primaries in Tennessee and elsewhere.
A Web site, www.tennesseansfortancredo.com, cites the need to "make noise, collect signatures, build a grass-roots movement that attracts citizens from all walks of life and all political parties."
With or without Tancredo's approval, they hope critics of Bush's plan will write in Tancredo during state presidential contests.
Tancredo said he supports Bush on most issues besides immigration and could not see himself having much of an effect on Bush's chances.
This week, the representative launched "Team Tancredo," a political action committee to raise money for candidates who oppose amnesty for illegal immigrants.
"Tancredo for President" bumper stickers have been floating around the Internet for more than a year.
"It's a conversation starter," he said. "And the conversation usually starts with, 'Who the hell is Tom Tancredo?' ''

Tancredo won't be elected President in 2004. We all know that. It's just that his name is just much easier to write in than "No George Bush Jr. You will not get my support for your selling of my country into third-world oblivion just so you can whore your way into a second term".

Your impression of your self-worth most assuredly exceeds mine. You continue to enjoy your false assumptions and sense of superiority, now. And I'll continue to write messages as I please without any input from you that they're spam, ma'm. Thank you just the same, ma'm.

ILLEGAL Alien = (Illegal Alien Definition) - One who resides in the country without papers. PC term is undocumented worker. Cf. wetback, mojado. http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=illegal+alien
Illegal Alien - An illegal alien is a non-U.S. citizen who has entered the United States illegally, i.e., without proper documentation and without complying with legally required U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) procedures. Examples of illegal aliens include Mexicans who cross the Texas border into the U.S. by evading Customs checkpoints. The term "Illegal Alien" is predicated upon U.S. immigration law which requires foreigners entering the U.S. to comply with our country's rules and laws regarding entry into, and residence within, our country. The term "illegal alien" is favored by U.S. citizens who believe that non-citizens entering our country must comply with our immigration laws. This term is also favored by conservatives and Republicans who believe that persons entering our country should be required to abide by our laws.
http://www.adversity.net/Terms_Definitions/TERMS/Illegal-Undocumented.htm
Undocumented Immigrant - An undocumented immigrant is also a non-U.S. citizen who has entered the United States illegally. In fact, an undocumented immigrant has violated all the same U.S. laws as an illegal alien. The only difference is that an undocumented immigrant is presumed to be "innocent" of violating U.S. laws. Additionally, so-called undocumented immigrants are granted amnesty from our immigration laws. The term "undocumented immigrant" is favored by U.S. citizens who believe in "open borders" and who also believe that non-citizens do not need to comply with U.S. immigration laws. This term is also favored by liberals and Democrats who believe that the U.S. should allow anyone into our country regardless of their skills, background, or terrorist affiliations.
So that is "Honest"?!
I guess according to You? I say Illegal, you say Undocumented Worker. I am not concerned with PC, I thought that was for the Du's?

Spoken just like every other spammer who thinks there is some Constitutional right to be heard.
Maybe the WH nor Ridge 'have' to listen to us or read our email. So then they are forcing our hand to show it 'is' our constitutional right to vote against them. Hey, thank them for the way we feel. They make the policy. they ignore us. We can do the same.
