Listened to the Pelosi thing after the speach and bout lost my mind trying to deal with her need for denture paste and something to dry her mouth. She doesn't even have to use any words to speak and be annoying..

Well, the rest of the world believes in their masterless slavery welfare plantations at the mercy of terrorist thugs, and so they now have a choice, either bow to terrorists or to America/Bush.
sheesh, it's not our damn fault if that is the only choice they have, they are US military welfare recipients, for goodness sakes!!!

Bush is a great Pres. Only 8 years as President though. What are the odds of doing away with 2 term limits?

I have this thread in my bookmarks. Fifth Edition of the Lexicon of FreeRepublic * * A helpful FR dictionary for newcomers * * Although I have been here a long time, I still have to refresh my memory with some of thes lexicons.

Oh, it was definitely aimed at Dean as was his recititing the list of nations in the Coaltion of the Willing. Both were shots to Dean's midsection.

A shot across the bow of people like Kerry and Dean who insist on U.N. approval (Unless a Dem is in the WH). Kerry even said, shortly after Vietnam, that he thinks US troops should only be deployed around world at the direction of the UN. And Clark's congressional testimony, and his actions in Kosovo, forces him to agree in principal with the statement. I Love it.

The permission slip line is reaaaaaly anoying the foreign press. Speaking to family over "there" their response was "duh" what do you expect any country to do?
The Fremch must be stewing in their impotence.
To: Godfollow
did you notice the camera focusing on Ted Kennedy sahing his head "no" subtly during the "we are safer" parts?
To: tellw
I don't sense that the foreign press picked up on the juvenile nuance of the term "permission slip" - it is, after all, something out of grade schools (at least in the United States) and implies that the UN and Certain European Countries Who Will Not Be Named are assuming an elder, quasi-parental authority that they do not, in fact, possess. Am I reading too much into this or does it get lost in cultural translation?
To: tellw
The fact that the Euro-weenies consider this to be "news" shows where they stand. Too bad.

"THE LOOK" has my vote hands down! Classic moment, complete with the gunfighter stare-down and the "expiration" line.

Yeah, ol' Teddy really ticked me off last night. As if he were an expert on anything other than single malt whiskey.

If you read back a few posts, someone posted a link to a lexicon that has IIRC and much more explained.
You could write alot, and never type a word in English! LOL

you know, i'm damned tired of the left.
just how many trillions of dollars and ruined lives has the left in the united states cost?
1. the destruction of our public schools since the 1960s.
2. ditto for our universities. learned helplessness moves up the food chain: last week's business week magazine arrived with an ad coupon for a subscription at the rate of .59 cents per issue!!! (dat be 51 issues x .0059 = about 30 cents per year! what college grad approved this for publication at business week?)
i have a friend who is a high school grad, living in socal, and he asked me recently, as we were walking thru' home depot what the word "linear" means. also, he wondered if arizona had a border with mexico? i'm serious!
what's the value of lost productivity to this person's life? (he comes from an excellent catholic home. his parents worked hard and saved and invested their money. they would have sent him to any college of his choice, but he flunked out his freshman year.)
one complaint of hp recently concerning entry-level employees, was the quality of their education; a reason that hp gave for off-shoring jobs.
economic analysts estimate costs. my question is: just how many trillions of dollars has the left cost the united states since ww2?
