Joe,
Why do I feel like we are being sent to time-out tonight by our fellow freepers?

Hey there used2BDem! Thanks! That graphic is a perfect illustration of Bush delivering his SOTU! HeHeHe :-)
To: My Favorite Headache
"Is that said with love?" Sure the same "love" that you had for GWBush.....way back when you supported him. You don't fool me one bit, and you never have.

I followed your comments to each other -- very moving. Beautifully written. The same to others who replied to you.
I hope your daughter is well, and soon, MM.

Yo, just jumped in! I liked Bush's health care premium tax right-off. But he should NOT have mentioned AMNESTY! Also, what was with Clinton and Kennedy?

It angers and saddens me when I see wonderful Freeper, after wonder Freeper, emerge last Friday because Judge Pickering was recess appointed to the bench, the SCOTUS allowed the Texas redistricting, Rep Harris made a smart, team move to help us win Florida .... and they all said that they couldn't come into this forum because the asshole negative creeps have been sucking all the positive oxygen out of this place.
It was, finally, a positive untainted thread. Something to celebrate. As a community. Ah, but don't you know, sooner or later one of these immigration cockroaches show up and start poisoning the well. What else is new?
Great, longtime Freepers afraid to come here because the anti Bush monkeys have been bullying everybody left and right. With Mexican scare.
If that's the forum the owners of FR want ... that's what they have. A small number of malcontents gargling liver bile and spitting it all over their living room. To no political purpose of objective. Just to spit bile. Day after day. After day. Anti-Bush bile.
It didn't take long for those jerks to take over the Pickering thread and drive those folks back into hiding.
I want to know that these negative bullies are paying the same amount I KNOW that the other long time Freepers have paid year after year to support this place. It's only fair. That's the concept behind the cover charge. If the usual suspects are going to be working their usual dismal agendas, I want to make sure they're paid in full.
It won't happen, don't worry. 30% of the good folk will continue to finance this place so that 70% of the assholes can run roughshod over them.

Nice sentiments, but those that run and hide do so on their own. This is cyberspace and bullies are toothless.
Of course, in the physical world, bullies are toothless also and a nice kick in the groin usually takes care of the problem! Or our legally concealed weapons (in those states like mine that allow them!) lol

**"Here's a harrowing pair of facts for Democrats: In 60 years, no Democrat has ever won the presidency without carrying the youth vote.
And right now President Bush's approval rating among 18- to 29-year-olds is 62 percent, higher than his nationwide rating. Top Republican strategists admit that the youth vote is fluid, but right now the trends are all in their direction, which they hope is a harbinger not only for 2004, but also a possible longer-term party realignment."**
What great news!

I don't get what is going on with FR as of late. I didn't find the President's speech up to par. I thought it was below average and I have no idea what the hell steroid use and the state of the union have in common...total pointless crap. Bush skipped the big issues with me tonight...especially what his plan is for immigration. Yeah, I caught what he said about not granting amnesty and all of that but he stayed away from the real issues of border safety and control and what we are going to do about it. Nothing about Osama bin-Laden at all. His name was not even mentioned. WTF? Nothing about the road map and the corruption of Syria and where America will stand there. Nothing on how he plans on getting more jobs in this country and not out of this country. Nothing on when he plans on stoping spending like a madman.
Well, I'm kinda resigned to the President spending like a madman. Don't worry, I'll still rant about it from time to time. The steroid thing was definitely pointless crap, but overall, there was less pointless crap this year than in previous years. The President's "Not an Amnesty" Amnesty for Illegals is a fixation of his that we'll just have to deal with whenever that mood strkes him. The highlights were the WoT, Tax cuts, and the best part of the speech was raising the possibility of a Constitutional Amendment for the definition of marriage. Overall, I scored this year's SOTU a B+

To: ArneFufkin
It's not an amnesty. In any honest way. It's still amnesty on the installment plan. But you know what? It isn't today what Bush intended it to be just three short weeks ago. He's backpeddling as gracefully as he can without looking too abvious about it. Do you know why? Because conservatives--the "unappeasables"--are giving him grief over it. We're making it painful for him, so he's slowing down.
Did you help to achieve this? Not at all. In Rove's eyes, you're an easily led chump who would be faithful and obedient if Bush told you to empty your bank account and give all your money to Planned Parenthood for *wink* *wink* "strategery" reasons.
You have no influence with this president. None. The grubbiest illegal alien just over the border from Tijuana has more influence with the White House than you do.
You are beyond pathetic.
