You're right. Even worse, it's the unattributable anecdote. I want a name.

In Bush's book, PROMISES TO KEEP, there are specifics laid out that he IS FULFILLING.
To: Brad's Gramma
Yes, I am quite sure is was deliberate.

"The plan is for people already here" That's what I heard him say too, not that he was inviting "a flood of illegals" to come here. If enough people are hired to seal the border, than actually it works out very well. You have to admit , he has cajones to even address the issue in the first place.
Overall a great speech. He covered alot of ground. He has accomplished so much in such a short time, it's almost too much to grasp., but a great speech.

Fox has piss poor conservative representation for their analysts. I agree. Who would you recommend to replace Barnes on the next broadcast?
To: Ramius
You are an American so hire a fellow American.
Even if less qualified? But I have a fiduciary duty to the company to hire the best talent that will do the best job.
Last I looked H1-Bs are not fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan for America. If Americans are good enough to defend you they are good enough to work for you, to be hired before an H1-B.

You are an Ameircan so hire an American, not an H1-B. It's tough job market and he will be most appreciative. The H1B cannot be hired over an American. Having said that the H1B employee is the most expensive class of worker there is and companies avoid having to hire them if at all possible.

Thank you .
No doubt .
And perhaps after this suckfest we might discuss it . I'll use 2 ears and 1 mouth in that order .

Who was the Iraqi that GW Honored tonight at SOTU? What was his name?
To: StarFan
Yep....makes me nervous as well because we know that the biased liberal media will aid & abet the RATs.
But GWB has much to be proud of & he's a good campaigner!

If you've had any doubt about analysis from the stalwarts of the "Weakly Standard" I hope you saw the very end of Brit Hume's sign off tonight. Both Fred and Billy boy Kristol have proved themselves to be the little people that they are. Kristol particularly. When he said that the President needed to end with a recitation of the states, and a Yeaaaaarrgh. He additionally said that the speech wasn't as important as Dean's last night......
I was hoping for better from Brit Hume's panel.

Here's what she'll look like a year from now when President Bush is starting his second term.

There's more than a fine line between mass deportations and blanket amnesty. Bush doesn't see that. Apparently, you don't either.

Did those of you who watched the speech on C-span stick around to listen to the callers comments?
One caller remarked that Nancy Pelosi's teeth whitener and face-lift really helped her delivery ;)

Will,
Precisely. Ari Fleischer's line about "one bullet isn't very expensive" is one of my all time favorites. Pelosi would rather scan them all of course because that would be UNION LABOR
