FYI it's being carried live on Cspan. They said coverage starts at 7 pm ET, with the actual caucus at 7:30 pm ET.

I've got a question about the caucus process.
I've read several articles on how a caucus works, but my question is, in a couple of the articles I read they indicated the members met in homes.
Is each meeting a particular precinct? If that was the case, in my area, they'd have to have pretty large meeting halls in order for people to attend a caucus.
And the bit about if one candidate doesn't receive 15%, then they basically disqualify that candidate and revote, that seems so weird to me. With a large field of candidates isn't there a remote possibility (not in this race, but perhaps in another race) that each candidate would receive under 15%. For instance, what if all 9 ran in Iowa, and each had a constituency that was under 15%, then what would they do????
Like I said, I've read a couple articles, but am still not real clear as to the specifics of how a caucus works. I tried to go to the main Iowa caucus page to get further explanation, but the website is offline at present.
Anyone that could enlighten me in an abbreviated fashion, I'd appreciate it.

Kerry is looking quite dapper the last few days. It seems to me that he's lost the deep lines on his forehead. I agree with Craig Crawford, the political analyst that he's probably had Botox treatments. Can somebody post some before and after pics. Real pics, not pics of Lurch, please!
Thanks!

I actually like Judith Dean. I like her and think that she's kind of attractive in a funny sort of way. Having said that, I think she married a total nutjob.

If your candidate doesn't get 15% in the first round, you have 30 minutes to convince others to join in your group to get to the 15% threshhold.

he's probably had Botox treatments. Agree...Kerry's gone to Dr. Botox.

Agreed. Judith Dean may be an accomplished woman, but, like Mary Matalin, she obviously suffers from very poor eyesight.

Could be as few as a couple dozen or as many as several hundred.

I think this is going to be fun to watch.
Long drawn out watching.....but hey it's on C-span so no commercials.
Plus I've never witnessed a Caucus, and if Dean goes down in flames I don't want to miss that.

I just heard Brit mention some comment Dean made about Kerry's rich Republican wife. Pretty mean spirted stuff, real below the belt.

Thanks for your answers, I've got a few more questions.
Can any registered voter participate?
If so, how do they assign you to a particular caucus, is it a geographical division?
And how do they report back their decisions? By telephone call, computer, fax?
