I don't see how Kerry can win after having said that, if Karl Rove has any sense

The press and a lot of folks are unconcerned with race baiting slander by democrats. That's simply a fact we live with.

You might be right about Edwards, I saw him in one debate where he was grabbing the populist star and doing a pretty good job of it. Until then, I had thoguht him an empty suit. But At this point I don't think he can win against Bush in his home state, a la ALGORE. At least the dems know Kerry will carry Wackychusetts.

That's it!

He must be working the MoveOn.org crowd in that pic.

That group is infested with 'em.

Are they secretly inflatable and deflatable?

Might also be dependent on the local "barometric pressure" ...

I agree that Edwards could be formidable, but I still think Kerry is a dud.

Dole won Iowa in 88' too but still ended up losing the nomination.

I like Mrs. Dean - he should campaign more with her.

You mean the senator from Iowa or someone else? The Iowa guy sounds totally Iowa, undeed he has a paradigmatic Iowa accent. I could tell you where he was from, just by listening to him. Honest.

Kerry on PMSNBC just said he "puts one foot in front of the other"...well, given the gazillion lies he told in his victory speech and afterwards, he sticks those feet in his mouth.

I've never heard a candidate tell so many factually refutable lies. Is he insane?

Edwards is the most improved candidate in the race. He moved up from being awful to being quite presentable, with some substance to boot. As I said, he is reading his briefs. Maybe he is used to reading briefs or something.

The dirt is going to fly faster than a tornado this week.

Oh yeah, LeHeinous has a twenty pound wishbone to pick with Senator Kerry. It could get very ugly. What a shame. :-}

DRUDGE'S HEADLINE:
DEAN GOES NUTS!

I really wanted Dean to get the nomination....

Thanks so much for the recap. Sounds as if Susan might have been sauced up enough to get gossipy. She finished up by saying "we're friends", so she may have even been innoculating Kerry, belittling the significance of silly old unproven rumors as just late night chatter. As I understand it, the Boston Herald is conservative, so unflattering tales of Kerry printed there might be brushed off as untrue partisan attacks, and won't hurt him in the long run.

It will be fun to read the BH tomorrow morning We know democrats are fond of their scoundrels.
