Well, rather than make an angry propaganda film, the typical reaction of liberal feminists, there would seem to be two more practical solutions:

a) Learn to do character acting, like the great actresses of the past.

b) Put up their own money and make films with older women in them. If they are right in thinking there is a market for such films, well and good. Most of these people have been paid millions for their work in the movies, and could well afford to get together and start their own business if they are so confident it would work.

hollyweird types are using anti ageing creams containing a small amount of infant foreskin... everytime I hear this the doctor never gives a reason why.

I bought a wallet made of foreskin. If I need a suitcase I just rub it some.....

"Also, no way is Teri Garr 53. She was dancing in Elvis movies in the mid sixties. Nice try, Teri."

Wasn't she in one of first season episodes of the original Star Trek? It was the one where Spock and Kirk went back in time to a Saturn launch. I think James Coburn (Cross of Iron) was in that same episode.

Riiiight, these women spend 20-25 years getting roles because they were born with hot looks and nothing else. Now that the free ride is over their bitching.

Typical.

"The man walks in and looks right at my tits and I saw in his face that there was no way I was going to get the part. And yet in the real world there is no way I would give this guy the time of day."

Good golly, I guess it works both ways!

"Men grow cold as girls grow old, and we all lose our charms in the end..."

It's a shame that ageism is so prominent in an industry that had ribbons for every other "ism" in the book, but it's the lay of the land. The reason folks older than 40 don't go to many movies is that few pictures written by people their age are being made.

Send them all a copy of Dr. Laura's book, The Proper Care and Feeding of Husbands, maybe they will change their outlook. It's not all about them.

Why don't these loud mouth, whining bitches create their own film company and make a film everyday with older women in them? See what the market place wants to look at.

This is hilarious. Have they ever heard of the Free Market?

I'm short, pale and ugly. Whom do I sue to get a plum multi-million dollar Hollywood role?

Please we have enough RINOs!
Shouldnt they have saved the cash when they were making the big bucks?
Dont all those professional athletes who make the same insane incomes have to do the same, because the money tree dries up quickly when they age?

That's just what I was thinking. No one who makes millions for a year's work making a film should ever have to worry about their money drying up. They made decisions about how to invest their millions. If they're broke now, it's their own problem. Good comment too about comparison to athletes. It's kind of like old football players complaining that they can't find work when they're over 40.

If the producers could make money on films with older women, they would do it. They can do it, but it's a lot less risky for them to go for movies with hot young starlets in the leading roles. My recommendation is for these whiners to risk some of their own cash on producing these movies instead of insisting that other people put their cash at risk to please their egos.

Whoopi Goldberg?

Here's a clue Whoopi: You didn't look good at 20, so I doubt your age has got much to do with your lack of acting jobs.

My husband and I have decided that Dr. Laura's book is an attempt to undo the damage that the women's movement has done to the institution of marriage.

...condemn "sexist" film moguls for failing to find roles for women over 40

Dame Judi Dench might disagree!
