National leaders of six conservative organizations yesterday broke with the Republican majorities in the House and Senate, accusing them of spending like "drunken sailors," and had some strong words for President Bush as well...

Rounding people up and sending their butts back home is not the same as shooting them.

Well, you can't round up people if you don't know where they're at.
To: Steve Eisenberg
Your flaws Sir:
1. Even when we catch the illegals we don't send them back.
2. Abolish abortion and then you'll have millions of Americans to fill job vacancies.
3. "The Earth belongs to those whe inherit it."

That's why they're called:
Undocumented aliens

2. Abolish abortion and then you'll have millions of Americans to fill job vacancies. This makes no sense whatsoever.
To: inchworm
OK! That SOUNDS very easy as well as simple;
Quickly Rounding up 10 million people who many of which, have now had children on our soil which makes them and their immediate family a citizen, not to mention sorting the whole mess out.....
Think of the massive effort that it would take just to find, scrutinize and process this many people. Then, to logistically transport them....to where?
You should thank your lucky stars that we have the right people in the White-house who realize what is real as well as logical. We need to keep them there to be sure!
To: PSYCHO-FREEP
To any reasonable thinking American, we all know it's much more complicated than rounding up each and every one that is already here. As I stated, we need to know where they are before we even begin the task of scrutinizing them.
To: inchworm
Hmmmmm.... you might want to think this through.

If we just seal off the borders, that still doesn't take care of the millions already here. Deportation is already in the books, but no one has bothered enforcing that law for lo' these many years to the point it's gotten too far out of control. Deporting would have been easier had we had a better handle on the situation decades ago.

There are few Freepers compared to the 200 million people in this country who don't care, will never care about this country, and who have been taught the socialist mantra from kindergarten on, or are just plan ignorant to care. And that you can thank the democrats for. Our tiny minority will not make a dent in the next election. You're fooling yourself if you think otherwise. Just ask the next schmuck the time you're shopping or at work. Ask about these issues. It's amazing what a hill we have to, as conservatives, to climb. And if you think a true conservative will be elected as president, that will not happen. We are closer to electing a commie than a conservative. We have to reteach the population, and that will take a generation. Do you really believe Joe Schmoe down the road cares? All he wants is his social security guarenteed. Or his medicare. This is the start of the conservative movement, and you have to remember that we will not be able to hit them with all the conservative ideals at once. We have to do what the democrats did for the past 70 years, incrementally change the voice of this country. If you think you can change this country in 4 years, you don't know how the constitution was written.

My greif is that even if an LA cop catches 1 illegal shop lifting, and finds out he's only been here for 2 weeks, that it's likely he'll wont be DEPORTED. That's the problem. Thats what's allowed this mess to amount to where we are now. That's the result of the first amnesty porogram that was smoked screen over us in the Mid 80's when we beleived it the first time. Do you really think under this new proposal that anything will change.
If the new proposal goes through, the same scenario I mention above above would surely be the same.

"Remember how the conservatives stabbed McClintock in the back to support the liberal Schwarzenegger." I do not remember that at all. What i remember is the RINOs (like a lot of them that are on this thread) insisting that McC. withdraw.

I'm angry w/ this b/c nothing would change. 10 million would get amnesty and a few years later caught illegals would not be deported. I'd nieve to think otherwise.

I can say for certain we've won some local partisan races since then - Dog catcher doesn't count.
For building up a power base, every little bit counts.
To: inchworm
Well, think back 50-60 years ago.

I already told you how I think it is feasable. How many troops are in Germany right now? Bring them home and give them the funds. Are we at War? Is this the WOT? Is the border security a joke? Is a smile on Fox's face more important than American security?
The border can be sealed. Much faster and cheaper than going to Mars. We have the technology and know how to do it. the real question is why does the Bush administration not give a damn about the situation?
Enough with your "it can't be done" garbage. It sure can. The question is why is it not secure?
