Actress Gwyneth Paltrow is ruling out the prospect of returning to America to raise her child - because she deems her homeland too dangerous. The Oscar winning beauty - who is pregnant with her husband Chris Martin 's baby - has been living in London since settling down with the Coldplay star, and she has no intention of bringing up their child in a threatening environment. She says, "I worry about brining up a child in America. At the moment there's a weird, over-patriotic atmosphere over there, like, 'We're number one and the rest of the world doesn't matter.' And the guns in school - it's not great."

"When is Alec Baldwin moving again? I keep forgetting."
Not soon enough. I wish about 200 more hollywood communists would join her.

How disappointing. I thought she came from a decent, traditional, loving family. Turns out she's an utter fool. Oh well - - good riddance.

I'd be more excited if I thought she actually meant what she said. Like the Baldwin she's full of hot air and is speaking for effect. She'll be back here before you know it.

Robert DuVall (the Great Santini) oughta spank Blythe Danner's butt for this.

Duh...it took me awhile but I finally got it.

She is an idiot.
She is referring to something she likely heard from some friends at a party.
Nationalistic is the words she is looking for, the implication being that we are becoming overly nationalistic (ie. Germany circa 1935).
It is a wildly liberal intellectual theory bandied about every time a little Patriotic jigglism pops up in the media or along main street USA or when a Republican is in the White House.

The Oscar winning beauty - who is pregnant with her husband Chris Martin 's baby - As opposed to... Madonna's love child? Why did the author see a need to explain that yes indeed, the father of baby is the same person as the husband? How do they really know this?
To: BushisTheMan
She can go. But if Liv Tyler decides to leave, I am going to get ticked.

Yes, I realized afterward that my words may be taken wrong, and I apologize. I have never been of the belief that that word was intended as an insult for the child, but rather for the parents. However, I can see where it would look otherwise.
"There is no such thing as illegitimate children. Only illegitimate parents."

How disappointing. I thought she came from a decent, traditional, loving family. Turns out she's an utter fool. Oh well - - good riddance. she's hollywood-privileged... she can afford to believe that utter nonsense... she's above the masses... (i've always admired her mother Blythe Danner as an actress)...

Why did the author see a need to explain that yes indeed, the father of baby is the same person as the husband? maybe because she was pregnant before they married... they might want to let us know that they did finally get married... they eloped, so it might not be common knowledge...

Let's see, another overrated, loud-mouth, bony-butt, twit with delusions of grandeur decides to live abroad. I'll try to live through it all.

I may be wrong again (believe me, it would NOT be the first time) but I do not think they were married when she discovered she was pregnant.
