NEVADA, Iowa (AP) Democratic presidential candidate Dick Gephardt on Wednesday called chief rival Howard Dean a ''fair-weather friend of the American worker'' whose words can't be trusted and motives must be questioned.
''To me, there is no room for the cynical politics of manufactured anger and false conviction. I believe in standing for something,'' the Missouri lawmaker said in a speech that heightened his criticism of the Democratic presidential front-runner.

There seems to be French on the building's facade in your train photo. Why am I not surprised?

''After four years of George Bush, we just need honesty for a change.''Anyone recall Dickie criticizing Slick Willie? Did little Dickie give and "red meat" examples of Bush's alleged lies?
To: SpinyNorman
It's not very honest of Dickie to falsely accuse W of being dishonest.

Gephardt is the one candidate that worries me, on the merits. But it does appear that the radicals are winning the war inside the Rat party, and will chase out the likes of Gephardt and even Lieberman.
Soon enough Kennedy and Pelosi will be derided as too "moderate" for the Marxists who are taking over.
Which means a strengthening Republican trend across the electoral board.

Its about time Gephardt got off the stick and started to play some hard ball. I can't believe Democrats are going to vote for Dean. Gephardt is much more qualified than Dean.
Of course if the Clintons are running this show, they will want someone who is easy to defeat in 2004.
